Overview & Reviews
For their second season in the U.S. market, the 2003 Mini Cooper and Cooper S will now come with a second remote key and pre-wiring for a dealer-installed alarm system. Anthracite (smoke gray, that is) interior trim is available as a no-cost option for both cars, and the Cooper S is eligible for the high-gloss silver interior treatment found in the base Cooper. Sound systems will be satellite radio-ready this year, and the rear cargo area now has a power point.
- The thrill of owning a piece of history with modern underpinnings, BMW-engineered suspension and steering, chock full of comfort and safety features, hatchback utility, scheduled maintenance on-the-house for 3 years/36,000 miles.
- Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, price goes up quickly with options, limited supply encourages dealer mark-up.

My Cooper S - 2003 Mini Cooper
By Cars4me89 - August 15 - 10:00 amMy Mini is Indi Racing Blue with white wheels white roof, white bonnet stripes, with siding on the inside, and blue leather seats. Super quick for its 1.6 litre. Turn the key in the ignition and it roars to life. Real head turner.

The meek need not apply. - 2003 Mini Cooper
By AnotherBobby - August 8 - 2:00 amI was initially impressed with the cars design and the amount of room they managed to gleam from such miniscule dimensions. After a short test drive and a long wait while my specd MINI was being built, Im impressed with the handling, ride, and overall driving experience. You really do have to keep the revs up off the line which took a couple of days to adjust to. However, dont even notice that anymore. This car is an incredible blast to drive. The ergonomics are great. Dont understand why so many people complain about the controls. Just adds to the character.

FORGET THE PORSCHE! - 2003 Mini Cooper
By wbs - June 27 - 2:00 amWhy buy a Porsche and blow the extra dough? You want looks and have money left over to buy.....another car (or two). The Cooper S is the real deal and the kids can come along for the ride in the backseat! I am 62" tall and I can stretch out and be comfortable. Not sure which there is more of---fun or leg room! If you drive it, bring your checkbook because you will buy it. If you dont then you forgot what it means to live a little!

griffith mania sold on THE MINI - 2003 Mini Cooper
By curlyjojomcfarkwatt - June 27 - 2:00 amthis car is quick and fun and very very hard to turn over!!! it would be the best gettaway car for the old time gangsters if you could teleport it back in time. had a griffith once that used to get stares and questions, but not like the mini does.....great on gas and much roomier than one would imagine till inside and using it yourself....long live the mini!!!

By Penguin - May 10 - 2:00 amWow! What a fun car to drive, wash, fuel up,wax, look at and of course motor in. We use it everyday and have had a great time everytime we get in it. We are getting 29mpg, lots of looks ( good and bad) and well worth the wait to get.
