Overview & Reviews
For their second season in the U.S. market, the 2003 Mini Cooper and Cooper S will now come with a second remote key and pre-wiring for a dealer-installed alarm system. Anthracite (smoke gray, that is) interior trim is available as a no-cost option for both cars, and the Cooper S is eligible for the high-gloss silver interior treatment found in the base Cooper. Sound systems will be satellite radio-ready this year, and the rear cargo area now has a power point.
- The thrill of owning a piece of history with modern underpinnings, BMW-engineered suspension and steering, chock full of comfort and safety features, hatchback utility, scheduled maintenance on-the-house for 3 years/36,000 miles.
- Not enough horsepower in base model, questionable seat comfort, not much room for passengers and cargo, price goes up quickly with options, limited supply encourages dealer mark-up.

MINI Cooper S after 30K miles - 2003 Mini Cooper
By thommmasss - September 26 - 10:00 amAfter 13 months of ownership and 30,000 miles I still look for an excuse to drive my MINI. It is so much fun it should be illegal, especially the way I drive it.

A Pip - 2003 Mini Cooper
By Fangio - September 26 - 10:00 amWhen reading that John Cooper (Paris Dakar Minis) and BMW teamed up I couldnt resist. Just bought a 1904 S and it is a sheer delight to drive. In its class it holds its ground beautifully with the Porsche Boxster and Cayenne Turbo I drive.

mytmnee - 2003 Mini Cooper
By janmerges - August 8 - 2:00 amMy cooper is my favorite car ever driven. The handling is superior and unsurpassed by my other vehicles. I bought it just as a "fun" car and find myself driving it almost exclusively! If you get one, youll NEVER regret it.

2003 mini cooper - 2003 Mini Cooper
By ken.lake - July 19 - 2:00 amI accepted the MINI in Salt Lake City, on 12/30/02. I drove the car to Austin Texas via Las Vegas. About 2100 miles in a week. The car was in snow storms, high winds, rain and sun. It performed perfectly. The trip averaged 33.1 mpg at an average speed of 64 mph. I have the on board computer. Most driving was done at 70 to 80 mph. It is comfortable, (lots of seat adjustments) and fun to drive. Besides getting comments everywhere I go. I really like this car.

Big things in Small package - 2003 Mini Cooper
By Mini Me - July 8 - 10:00 amThis is great car and its very fun to drive. You get a lot of attention and respect on the streets. The base Mini Cooper is a little weeker than the S but its more comfortable for daily driving. The interior is very attactive and classy.

oooOOOO Yahhhh - 2003 Mini Cooper
By Tyrrell - June 1 - 2:00 amI can safely say that it is my favorite car yet. My wife and I have three year old twins - no problem, the car seats and the kids fit fine for around the town driving. I am not even going to go into performace and handling, that is a waste of the readers time. Nothing in its class compares. The surprise is how compfortable and how much room you seem to have. I just took four adults (two 6 2 folks) to the wine country and no one complained about not enough room. I dont know what was more fun, drinking the wine or driving the car there and showing off the car to passer-byers. Buy one if you enjoy life!!! Terry Tyrrell - Westlake Village, Ca
