Love my Protege - 2000 Mazda Protege
By jjac28 - August 1 - 2:00 amI THINK THE PROTEGE IS THE BEST IN IT S CLASS FOR THE YEAR 2000. I OWN THE ES 1.8L PROTEGE (LX IN CANADA) WITH ALL THE OPTIONS IE: TOURING PACKAGE (POTENZA TIRES, MOONROOF, SPOLIER ETC) I HAVE NOW 60,000KM ON IT AND ITS BEEN GREAT OWNING THE CAR. I AM AN AGGRESSIVE/FAST DRIVER SO I REALLY PUSH THE CAR AND IT NEVER DISAPPOINTS ME. I CANT BELIEVE THAT SOME SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS CAR. THE PROTEGE OWNERS I SPOKE TO REALLY LIKE THIS CAR AND ARE PROUD TO OWN IT.

Buy a 5! - 2003 Mazda Protege
By maz - July 27 - 2:00 amI own the Protege 5 and love it. There are faster sport wagons, but the Mercedes styling and crisp handeling make the Protege a blast to drive. I feel it is the best bargin on the market. Get the 5 speed! If you dont drive a clutch, learn!

164,000 and going strong - 2002 Mazda Protege
By Deb - July 17 - 10:20 pmMy protege has been very reliable. I have kept up with changing the oil every 3000 miles and change the other fluids as scheduled. When I first purchased the car, Id crank the engine and couldnt hear it running. Now many miles later, I can hear just a small purr. Ive had no transmission problems and no problems that have left me stranded. Im hoping this car will last til over 200k and then Im buying another Mazda.

Beats the Civic in every way! - 2003 Mazda Protege
By ojbux - June 14 - 2:00 amJust purchased this car (LX) as a Christmas gift to myself. I was choosing between the Civic, Corolla, Matrix and Sentra. Im so glad i chose this one. It is so crisp and build quality is excellent. ConsumerReports Magazine rates its reliablity higher than the "almighty" honda civic and equal to the Accord. Interior is one of the best. Styling looks sharp and sophisicated unlike the cutesy-cutesy corolla or civic. It came with cool wheels, bright tip muffler,in-dash 6 cd changer. All in all, this car is much fun to drive.

Dont miss out! This cars a GEM! - 2002 Mazda Protege
By Happy with Mazda - May 28 - 10:00 amI purchased the 4 door 2002 ES Model in Seabreeze -(Light Aqua/Green) as a leftover in Jan of 03. This was a great move, the car is reliable, good price, GREAT looking inside AND out, and ALOT peppier than youd expect. Also very comfortable. The 6CD changer and sunroof make great toys for the price. Safety is covered with the airbags and brakes... I highly recommend this car!

I love my Protege - 2001 Mazda Protege
By Fatima Oliveira - May 21 - 10:00 amFor the price of the car, you are getting a great car compared to the sentra and the civic. It handles great. Great design on interior and exterior with lots of room.
