  • Bought the Sport - great deal for the money - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

I love the cars looks. I named my car "Big Red" after a former neighbor, a zaftig redhead. I love the great mileage - right now avg = 33.5, but Ive done better. I got the auto trans and the rear view camera and the fog lights - all of which I am happy with.

  • Serious brake problems - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

Anyone considering a mazda 6 should wait until they resolve the following serious issue: My 2014 sport has been in and out of service for loud clunking noises in the rear brakes. So far neither the dealer nor the mazda techs who came out have been able to resolve it. Apparently it has something to do with the calipers. So far theyve replaced many of the parts in both rear brakes to no effect. Currently I am waiting while they manufacture larger brake pads to install to see if this solves the issue. I asked them to just replace my vehicle, as this has been dragging on for a long time, but they refuse, so Im stuck with it while they use me as a guinea pig for their tests.

  • Just LOVE this car! 2014 Mazda 6 Grand Touring - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

Just a tremendous car if you appreciate handling and enjoy driving. Has me looking forward to highway on-ramps and off-ramps. So stable and planted in corners! Good power, nice 6-speed Auto Transmission (love the paddle shifters on the Grand Touring), mileage is excellent -- easy to get between 35-40 on the highway at normal speeds, and even in-town, it usually gets around 30. It rides firm, no question: if you want a cushy ride, this isnt your car. But it rewards you every time the road starts to curve, and always delivers really good mileage. Good interior space, nice flat trunk, nice back seat. This is absolutely a must-see if youre considering any of the other family sedans.

went to dealership really wanted a manual touring with blue reflex test drove the car and it kept popping out of 3rd gear on the test drive so i went with the automatic test drove it and decided to get it after signing papers the salesman came out to show me how to set up blue tooth and it wouldnt work then it wouldnt read my ipod so i had to bring it in next day to have them reset the computer and they ordered me a new module for it!! other than that i love it so far only 300 miles into it and still have half tank of gas i commute 20% city 80% highway

  • Happy so far - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

Just have over 500 miles on it now and the first tank of gas returned 33 mpg. Very happy with car so far. Definitely will be adding cold air intake and window tint. Wish it came with privacy glass from factory.

  • Best choice for a manual transmission - 3 months in. - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

When youve got to stir your own gears, your choices are limited these days. It seems like you can do it if you opt for a stripped down small car, or a tricked-out european performance sedan. In the mid-level market there is pretty much Mazda and Subaru. Good luck actually finding a stick in America for any other brand. Since I have kids in car seats, rear seat room was an issue. Car seats are ridiculously huge these days. So I had to go a little bit bigger but I didnt want a large SUV. They just arent fun to drive. I loved my old Subaru Forester, but unfortunately Subaru killed the driving feel in their effort to mass-market and Camry-ize the new Forester and Outback.

  • Its getting boring, talking to all the people who ask about it - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

have had the car a little over a week, 15 GT in Reflex Blue with the almond leather package...and people on the street ask about it everyday...the car is just so dang beautiful that people want to know more about it....I dont have time to tell people about how great the car is...its great in every way so far!

  • So far so good! - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

I have had my 6 for a month now, and have put about 1,800 miles on it. So far I am loving it. The ride is firm but smooth, steering is tight and accurate and the Bluetooth features are awesome. I almost bought a Kia Optima, but once I saw the Mazda 6, I was hooked. I have been more than pleased with my mileage. I have been tracking it with an app on my phone and I have been getting around 33 mpg +/-, with a 60/40 highway/city split. This is about the same as my old 2002 Honda Civic! I have been keeping my speed in check and havent hot-rodded it too much, but I dont drive it easy either.

  • First Zoom - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

My first Mazda and im not disappointed. The car feels very light and its very nimble compared to other models I test drove. I decided on the manual since I like to feel more involved when driving, the trans is smooth and has short throws compared to others. The design is sporty and refreshing compared to other mainstream sedans. 250 miles in and avg 30mpg but have been driving pretty aggressively, well have to see when the excitement subsides and see how much more I can get out of skyactive. Love driving this sporty sedan and the stares I get everywhere I go is a sign that Mazda has a winner here.

  • Puts a smile on my face every drive! - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

I test drove the 2012 camry xle and honda accord ex-l the same day as test driving this mazda 6 gt. The mazda 6 was the only one that totally put a grin on my face! Its been a month and it still does! 1. I just the simple math for calculating mpg and I got 38mpg! Thats with about 70/30 highway/city. 2. The interior is so sharp! Subdued, classy. The accord was obnoxious with the 2 huge screens! 3. The bose 11 speaker sound system blows the other 2 cars away. I played metallic yesterday, drums, cymbals were crystal:-). 4. Rigid chassis, but not at all uncomfortable. It helps it turn on a dime. 5. Trunk is shaped like rectangle. you could actually fit large items in there.
