  • Quickly forget its a wagon - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I drive an automatic Redfire Sport Wagon with black cloth interior and the Bose and Sport packages. Great car for the money. Handling is superb, predictable and smooth most of the time. The engine mated with the 5 speed ATX is smooth most of the time but generally under powered for a V6. It lacks the low end grunt most Americans are looking for. Instead it offers smooth delivery that feels nearly the same throughout the RPM range. The transmission also likes to shift a bit too soon and is a bit busy between 40-50MPH, a TCM update from the Mazda dealer fixes this gripe however.

After looking at the Camry, the Accord adn toying with the idea of getting a Ford escape instead, I ended up with the Mazda 6 - 6 cyl, Auto w/ Appearance Package. Had it for 5 months now, already have 10,000 miles on it, and every drive is fun, fun, fun.

  • Great Car for the Price! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I love my Mazda6s 5-door. The engine comes to life at about 3500-4000 rpms and it flys after that! The car handles better than most cars that I have driven. For the price it is a excellent car. I personally like it better than the BMW (low end) 3 series cars because of the interior room and the engine (not to mention it saves about 5 grand). Performance and appearance mods are begining to come out and they are making this car faster and making it look better. I would recommend this car to anyone. I am very pleased with it and the service that Mazda has is unbeatable.

  • So good, but so bad... - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I thought for a while before I wrote this. And I think my title describes my 6s perfectly. It really is all good, and all bad. Great to drive, sharp looking, so much more exciting than an Accord/Camry type. But Ive experienced horrible reliability problems from day one. Brakes replaced twice. CD player not working. Engine fan. Power locks. Etc. I havent even begun to describe the horrible build quality--rattles in the dashboard, drivers seat, passengers seat, sunroof, headliner, glove box. I used to own a VW Jetta, and joked that it was like a beautiful girlfriend who treated you like dirt--you cared and cared, and it never cared back. My 6 is just as bad. Ill never buy a Mazda again.

  • NICE car! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I love my car. It hugs the road, manuvers well and brakes are excellent. I narrowly missed someone who pulled out in front of me. The brakes did their job without any extra handling necessary. It has a large turning radius but I wonder if it is built this way to have better overall manuverability. I dont like the gas mileage. The manufactor claims the car gets 26-32 mpg yet I can only squeeze out 25 mpg when driving conservately. I usually get the top rated gas mileage for each car Ive driven. Mazda is directly to blame for this yet the government has freed companies up to lower gas mileage and the companies are now able to fudge its numbers.

  • Good Car Overall - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

Instead of doing what most people do and purchase and Accord or Camry, I decided to be a little different. The Mazda6 I purchased came fully loaded. I must admit, after 2000 miles, I am pretty satisfied with the car.

  • Sharp 6 - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I love my 2003 MAzda6i. As soon as i got in this car for a test drive i fell in love! The way it looked inside and out, the sporty feel, the automanual transmission, and just the little features that most car companys just look over (like the steering wheel controls)all of this made me a buyer. I love it when i go somewhere and people are looking at my car and they go "what is that?" Then they say "man that thing is sharp!" My husband and i fight over who is going to get to drive it for the day :-). As long as this car is reliable i will have it for a while.

  • FUN-FUN! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I love this car! It is awesome and its so much sportier than the 626 ever was, which was what I drove before. I agree Mazda is still managing to keep the ZOOM-ZOOM in their cars to make them FUN-FUN-FUN!! I especially like the 6 because not only is it fun, its safe for my 3 year old son to ride in!
