New hatchback and wagon body styles are scheduled as midyear additions. Minor adjustments to the 6's optional equipment packages are the only other changes for 2004.

  I have just purchased the automobile and am extremely happy with it. I got it for an excellent price and the car is extremely fun to drive. The one thing I am not too fond of is the one- piece dash panel. I have never owned a car where I didnt customize the stereo unit!

  This is my second Mazda and Ive got to say, this is a fantastic automobile! The exterior design is best in class (looks great in Onyx Black Mica) and the interior is clean and functional. Controls are well placed, a majority of which can be activated from the backlit steering wheel buttons. The engine seems a bit weak at the start of acceleration, but kicks in nicely later on in the cycle. The handling is superb! If youre into space, the 5-door gives you as much room as the sport wagon with the rear seats folded down. The best part is that Mazda listened to the suggestions and complaints of 626 owners and corrected them in the Mazda6. Zoom Zoom!

  I think my desicion to buy this Mazda ^ has been one of the best. The first time I saw it in the street I fell in love with it, when I test drove it I didnt want to let go of it and I didnt, now everybody turns to see my ride, the interiors are very confortable and has a lot of space. I did a lil bit of street racing with it and it didnit dissappointment.

  All in all a great car for the money. Has a few rattles that the dealership has been unable to fix, but when you consider how fun it is to drive you dont really care. Everything is laid out and very accessible from the drivers seat.

  the respose rate of 4-cylinder is not fast enough during acceleration. sport- type automatic transmission is not smooth enough. So if you know shift stick and have money to get a S-model, youll have a perfect car!!

  Bought the 6 wagon after looking at the Subaru forester xt and the Legacy GT wagon, and a used a4 avant. The 6 was by far the best value, I could not make my self spend another $7000 for the Subie.... So far the car has been exceptional. Handels supurbly, acceleration is great fuel economy is actually really pretty good, depending on how you drive of course. Stlye was the best out of the cars I was looking at and comfort fit and finish are also sweet. I got the most basic 6 wagon you can get, manual with no other options and could not be happier.

  As advertised, this is a joy to drive: nimble. road-savvy, peppy. Everything about it is well-designed:drive train, interior, exterior.

  Overall, love the car. Wish it had more torque but Mazda did what it could with that Ford motor. It revs surprisingly well and is not as course as you would think of it. Some of the interior also shows Ford cutting costs but like the design very much. There are a lot of little things I would like to change but every time I drive it, I forget about them.

  Great wagon!! Drove the Saab, Volvo, BMW3, and the Subaru. I just couldnt find the same value as the 6. I got the slick shifting Manual and what fun it is!! The leather seats are some of the most comfortable Ive sat on.
