Overview & Reviews
New hatchback and wagon body styles are scheduled as midyear additions. Minor adjustments to the 6's optional equipment packages are the only other changes for 2004.
- More fun to drive than most family sedans, slick shifting manual transmission, smooth power delivery, nicely appointed interior, multiple body styles.

Good value - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By Bob - March 30 - 7:53 amI have owned my car for 18 months and have enjoyed the experience. Fun to drive and very sporty. Comfortable over the long trip. I just bought new tires after 43,000 miles as I plan to keep this one for a while longer.

First Four Door - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By misskel82 - March 18 - 10:00 amRides smoothly. Takes bumps great. Awesome Bose sound system. Not fast from the take off, but overall, quick. Nice options. Would of been nice if the homelink was more user friendly and the buttons werent so confusing. Came from a Z28 to the Mazda 6.

Great auto...well done Mazda! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By M6Drifter - March 13 - 10:00 amThe car is an amazing four door. I own the V6 3.0L S Sedan model. Mines a 2004. It handles awesome! Better than any of the cars in its class. Its a little underpowered compared to its competitors....my only suggestion to Mazda is to either lighten the car or kick up the Horses about 20 and the torque to where the current horsepower is now (or above). The interior is completely comfortable for myself (Im a 6 foot 4 inches tall guy) so it should be roomy enough for anyone else. Id recommend this car to anyone because of the package for the price. Well done Mazda! Keep up with the Zoom-Zoom.

Love it! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By michiganman25 - March 1 - 3:55 pmBought my wagon in March 2010 with 100k on the odometer, now has 118k on it and going strong. The not so great: Just replaced shocks and struts, which was not cheap but now she drives like a new car. Ive also replaced a belt tensioner and a power steering line in the year ive had it. The back hatch has always been tricky to open, and i havent been thrilled with the paint quality, but it still looks beautiful when its cleaned up. The good: Runs like a champ, tons of cargo space, nice interior, handles great, awesome bose sound system, and lots of other great options. I get compliments on it all the time, it is one sexy wagon!

THE REAL DEAL ZOOMER - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By WEAZEL - February 4 - 10:00 amMAZDA HIT IT BIG WITH THE 6S. I LOVE IT. FROM ITS SLEEK LOOK TO IT POWERHOUSE PROFORMANCE. I HAVE A 1995 FORD THUNDERBIRD WITH A V8. THE ACCELERATION IN TH MAZDA BLOWS THE TBIRD AWAY. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE BLINDED BY THE HONDA ACCORDS. THE MAZDA 6S IS WELL PRICED AND LOADED WITH OPTIONS. THANKS MAZDA. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Small Sacrifices for an Excellent Car - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By Donnie V. - February 4 - 10:00 amI purchased a 2004 Mazda 6i this month (actually week) and have put over 1000 miles on it. It is ONYX Black with black cloth interior, sport package with spoiler, 17" wheels and Bose Audio Package. First I have to say that I love almost everything about the car. My only problems are:1)The cloth used in the door inserts is rough and has no padding underneith it making for soar arms if you wear short sleeve shirts. 2) Despite seats that adjust up/down, forward/back and recline and a tilt & telescoping wheel it is hard to find a comfortable position and still be able to read the speedo. Other than these minor quibbles the car is awesome!
