New hatchback and wagon body styles are scheduled as midyear additions. Minor adjustments to the 6's optional equipment packages are the only other changes for 2004.
- More fun to drive than most family sedans, slick shifting manual transmission, smooth power delivery, nicely appointed interior, multiple body styles.

By Toadster - August 11 - 2:00 amWhat a surprise this car has been! I searched long and hard for a replacement for my SVT Contour, and voila! the Mazda6 is my late SVTs big brother! More power and just as good handling... the price is phenomenal for this quality of a car. Many of my friends guess that the Mazda6 costs about 10-15K MORE than what I paid for it :)

By Rochester Todd - August 4 - 2:00 amI bought my Mazda at the end of May 2003... and Ive loved it ever since. I use to have a 2001 Pontiac GTP... which had awesome horsepower, but the cheasy looks of the new one turned me off. The 6 has a more classy, but still sporty look... better size, great trunk space, decent acceleration for a 4 banger... but on the highway it rides super, and around highway RPMs it has ample power for passing.

By joelopez - August 3 - 7:50 amI have driven many cars in my 17 years as a licensed driver and I have to say that the Mazda6 is by far the best car I have driven. The handling on this car is equivalent to my nephews BMW. As soon as I reach my destination, I look forward to getting back into the car. Never had that feeling about other cars (BMW, Mustang, Maxima, Altima, Corolla, Firebird, Cougar, etc.) .

Got it totally loaded up...all packages and plenty of options, and absolutely love the Blazing Copper Metallic skin. I believe its gonna be a long affair and shell be turning heads for quite a long time.

I did the research online and drove at least 3 other cars (Nissan,Honda,Chevy) and the Mazda was my favorite. The style is sporty and on the same level as the Altima but at a better price tag. The interior is refined and classy - very well thought out (and not cheap looking). The car handles very well and I saved some cash and bought one with the manual transmission, wife cant drive it (yet) but it is very smooth to operate and I dont have any complaints/doubts about my decision. My advise, look around and drive different cars...but dont forget the Mazda 6!

Main thing that I like about this car, not only looks good on the outside but has the interior and the balls under the hood to back it up. For example my friend has a camamro z28, raced him and it kept up with him till about 80 then thats where the v8 keeps going, but lets face it, how many times you going to pass someone or go faster than 80?the mazda 3 and its interior and was fun to drive. But it has no thrust when your getting on the road or riding the throttle. Got the Bose stereo has a sub in the trunk included,

Awesome Ride! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6
By BigT - July 2 - 2:13 pmI bought this car new and have never regretted it. It is THE best car Ive ever owned and plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off. With 73k miles on it so far the only things Ive done were normal wear and tear items, new brakes, tires and a battery. I did have to have the radio antenna replaced because I knocked the old one off while washing the car. She still looks great and I get lots of comments on how nice it is. Not a rattle on her and she drives like a dream. Its a shame that the big 3 cant build them this good. Sporty style with a very comfortable interior. Im 6 and weigh 280 pounds and am very comfortable in this car.

By Bryon K. Baer - June 29 - 2:00 amMy wife love this car.A 6s loaded. She says she is always being asked, "what is it?" Its so beautiful and sleek. I find the car easy on the eyes with nice style. Performance is very good with the 5speed but a 6speed rear drive platform would leave the 3 series BMW in the dust. Seats are ok just alittle to wide and to hard for my back. Could use tighter suspension with less body roll. Bigger sway bars front and rear and a strut bar for the front would do the trick.

By mister mc - June 23 - 2:00 ami bought my dark gray 4cylinder 6i in late october 2003 the rebates made it too sweet an offer to pass on...i love everything about the car with the exception of the fact that i bought the automatic instead of the 5speed to ensure better resale or trade in value...i only drive it in manual mode...which actually is a lot more fun than other vehicles i tested with this feature...believe it or not..im thinking about trading up to the v6 5speed fully loaded version...i tested the verona, accord, camry,galant...the 6 won
