BOUGHT MYSELF A FULLY LOADED 6s FOR CHRISTMAS AND ITS BEEN A GREAT JOURNEY SO FAR. NO PROBLEMS WITH THE LOW RPM LAGS ANYMORE THANKS TO HKS GROUNDING KIT (THATS WHATS CAUSING THE BIG LAG IN LOW RPM GUYS, TRUST ME). ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE RIGHT NOW IS THE GAS MILEAGE, ESPECIALLY AT A TIME WHEN THE GAS PRICES ARE SOOOO HIGH!!!!

I got this car to replace my mazda b- 2500 after it was rear ended at 70 mph by a much larger truck, its very roomy, comfortable, controls are easy but the gearbox is a bit notchy. car goes 0-60 in under 5 seconds with after market intake, the red display is cool, I am a VERY aggressive driver and this mazda seems to fulfill my needs. this is an easy car to work on if it develops any problems. the car i have is rock bottom of the 04 mazda6 line but im still pleased. zoom! zoom!

  • Mazda, not as advertised - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I am original owner with 56K miles on it and mostly commuting/hwy miles. Loaded up 6cyl. Great car when I first got it. Handled great, but after that have had problems the entire ownership experience. Have had to try multiple dealerships as their knowledge, service and work quality is terrible. Mazda Customer service not helpful. Build quality and design is not good. 15 visits a year to a dealership not unusual for bad brake system, clutch, trany, engine, interior reattles, power steering, A/C, suspension, exhaust/CAT converters, etc. Mazda doesnt appear to be quality / customer focused. Engine (Ford Duratec) needed replacement at 46K with oil changes every 3K. Same engine as Ford Fusion

  • 6 is one of the best! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I literally test drove 10 different cars before I decided on either buying the 6 or the Subaru Outback. I finally went for the 6 because it is 1000s less than the Outback. I live in MN. Winter driving is part of out lives here. I found that the 6 handles the snowy days very very well, thanks to its all speed traction control. My wagon has the luxury and sport pack; makes the car looks really sporty and its amazingly comfortable! The auxiliary heater is great for winter. Handling on dry pavement is solid and inspires confidence around corners. Headlights with intergrated fog lights makes driving in the dark a lot more visible and safer. The sport shift is a lot of fun. But downshifting to gear #1 is a little rough!

I bought the car brand new. It has 90K miles on it now. I havent had one problem with it so far. It has plenty of power. The rear spoiler really dresses up the car nice. Its an all round great sporty car to drive! I love it!

  • beautiful car piss poor reliability - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I bought this car 2 months ago for $3000 at an auction with 196000km on it, or about 129k miles. There oil kept disappearing quickly and I didnt know where it was going. After about $2000 in repairs and getting some tires and rims, I find out that the cars engine is through. It was burning oil rapidly, the reason for that was the piston rings being worn out, and the reason for piston rings being worn out was the catalytic converter melting and blocking the exhaust creating excessive back pressure. Not to mention the EGR valve recirulating exhaust gases as well as other particles into the engine which also screwed the engine over. Very piss poor design by mazda.

Ive owned my Mazda6s for 4 months and have loved every minute of it. For reference, I have the 6s with AT, sport package, moonroof, heated seats/mirrors,leather, Bose audio, and rearview mirror w/homelink. As others have said, slow off the line but very smooth and quick performance past 20 m.p.h

I have two Mazdas 6; one automatic V6 and my favorite V6 with manual transmission. To have every day fun on the road you really need manual. It jumps over the any car you name it. The automatic has that "manual" feature but it isnt same feeling like real manual it has delay. With manual you press less gas pedal and have immediate respond. Automatic you press half of the way and still nothing happens. The automatic is for nice and smooth ride. Have fun drive manual. No any problems with car -- 34000 miles.

  • Fun to Drive - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I never thought that a 4 door sedan could be this fun to drive. I have the 4 cyl. with 5 speed and it has plenty of power, handles excellent in corners and highway speeds. I bought this Mazda6 with the intention of giving it to my son when he turned 16 and now that the day has arrived, I hate to give it up. The a/c works great, shifting is smooth and quick with its short throw design and it comes with some special features not expected in this cars price range, like dimming lights after entering the car, auto shut off headlights, if you forgot, great bose stereo system, electronic trunk release and many other features you would not expect for the price. All and all a great car to drive
