Unhappy originally due to build quality and still annoyed by intermittent rattles in dash. Also thought the ride was too harsh; replaced the original Michelins (lasted only 33k miles!) with Hankooks and it was like getting a new car...still handles well but doesnt jar your teeth loose on every pothole. About 58K miles now and have done front brakes, tires, a battery and oil changes every 3k and this thing just runs like a champ. Still looks good and since theyre not going to offer the new 6 in a wagon, Im going to hang onto this thing - nothing else out there tempts me yet. First car Ive had that I like more as time goes on. Normally by now Id be itching to trade.

  • NICE SPORTS SEDAN - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

Of course the Acura tsx or a Volvo S40 looked good and felt better when I drove them but did I want to spend that kind of money just to get from point A to B NO! I was going to purchase a Honda Accord considering good reviews. So the Accord was my choice amongst midsize sedans. But the ugly style of the 04 Accord didnt do it for me, I wanted a more male, sporty car to drive. The Nissans altima was like driving a cheap car and the Camary was just too much for the car you were getting. So the 6 was the one I purchased. The handling is just great and the power you get for the price you pay is just perfect.

This is a great looking, fun to drive machine, with all the little added features to keep you comfortable on the road. Sporty to be fun but room to tote the family with no problems. All in all great.

  • Love My 6 - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I just went from a Volvo 850 Turbo to my 6 five-door hatch back - I love the car thus fare! Great handling, sporty comfortable ride, cant beat what you get for the money. I am currently at 3700 miles. I test-drove an Accord, WRX, TSX, Vue, Equinox, Altima, and Murano. The 6 provide the sport and the hatch back provided the utility.

Where do I begin.... Well at first I loved the car. I bought it with 5500 mile on it, now I have 18550. In this 10 months I have been to the dealership numerous times for maintenance. The headlights kept burning out, I had problems with my catalytic converter, air mass flow sensor, and now the transmission is bogging. If you want to change your cd player you have to buy a $300 dash kit because Mazda designed it that way. Also Mazda is one of the few companies that has no iPod integration kits. Also theyre resale value is horrible. All in all I feel I was misrepresented when I bought this car. "Soul of a Sportscar"... Hah...more like "Soul of a Hoopty". This was my first and last Mazda ever.

Ive been driving Mazdas since 1974. I have yet to be disappointed. The Mazda 6 is even more than I expected. Next....RX8!

Ive had this car for about 7 months and I have loved every minute of it. It was a true head turner. Outstide of the looks, the performance is top notch. I have the 4-cylinder manual transmission and it is just a fun car to drive. The cornering is tremendous, the kick at 3000 rpms is a true crowd pleaser, and the overall responsiveness of the car is great. Anybody that wants to know about this car should check that out and most of youre questions will be answered. Well Ive gone on long enough about the car, but there is just so much to say. If you have any further quesitons feel free to go to the forum (www.mazda6club.com).

I test drove three other midsize cars the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Subaru Legacy. Since I wanted a manual transmission and a V6 engine the three didnt compare to the 6s. I even drove all three with auto trans the V6 engines and I still wasnt as impressed than when I drove the 6s. Im very, very happy with my purchase, and I really look forward to my drive to work now.

I love my car! It is the perfect mix of classy and sporty! I used to have a 2 door car, but I really wanted a sedan after a while because I wanted easier access to my backseat, where I keep my school books... Also, I knew that I would keep the backseat neater if I had easier access to it! (I do!) However, Im only 20 years old and I wasnt really looking foward to giving up the sportiness of my coupe! I am so glad I found the 6, with its four doors and metal detailing in front I feel like I own a very classy car, however with its rear spoiler and trendy lights my car satisfy my desire for sportiness too! I get lots of compliments on my sharp ride!

Bought the 4 cyl. mated to the manual and I love the power it has. It rides well at high speeds and the steering is tight. Tons of fun to drive, especially through canyons.
