  • My experience has been very poor - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

The Mazda 3 arrived after the 6 and has had who knows how many infotainment updates, yet the 6 still hasnt had one in North America, and as a result a lot of the features run into problems (like playing songs not associated with the title displayed, dismally slow connectivity times). Mine has had transmission problems since I bought it, with many appointments and now resolution. The interior bits (especially the tilt steering adjustment) have started vibrating on even smooth roads. rear brakes clunk when releasing. Poor sound insulation. However, it handles nicely and gets pretty good fuel economy.

  • Great Drivability but horrible interior finish - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

Pros: I bought this car mainly because it has great exterior design and 6 automatic transmission. After I test drove Honda accord, I know I am not ready for CVT yet. I knew I made a right choice of buying Mazda 6. It drives amazingly well and has great handling. I give a special credit to front suspension which does the cornering without creating discomfort. Cons: Interior rattles a lot. This problem is already known for many Mazda 6 owners. If you just type the words "2014 Mazda 6 rattles" in google engine search, you will wonder if this is a new car. I just cant believe they dont catch all these rattling noises when they made prototypes. Granted, I bought Mazda not Toyota.

  • Best in class mid-sized sedan - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

After placing an order in March of 13, I got my vehicle in August and I now have 16K trouble free miles on it. After reading virtually all of the available reviews on affordable mid sized sedans and driving those that I was willing to consider (Honda, Toyota, Chevy, Hyundai and Subaru), buying a 6 was an easy decision. The car has met all of my expectations for a fun to drive sedan that gets solid gas mileage and that does not look like everything else on the road.

  • Very Impressed...! - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

I just purchased this vehicle and I am very impressed. I am in sales so I have a had a lot cars over my 20 plus years. I also sell parts to the auto mfgs so I know a little bit about build quality, etc. The build quality on this car is very good. But what really shines besides the exterior design of the car is the engine. I have taken two trips with the car and one I got 40.5 MPG the other 37.5. Both trips I had the air on and speed was approx 70. Although, the 37.5 trip I was going a little faster. The car also does not feel like a mid size sedan and it feels like a small sports car when driving. So far the only thing I dont care for are the seats as they seem very hard.

  • soo much car for your money! - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

I was going to buy a used car (Audi) at first as I wanted a nice upscale ride. As I was reviewing the gazillion options out there, I stumbled on the 2014 Mazda 6. Could not believe the looks of this car, especially for that price! Made it to the dealer the next day for more on-site research and a test drive. I originally planned to get the Touring, but after some review of the GT I really felt I would regret not taking the GT and all its extra features and luxury. I ended up indeed getting the GT, and added the adaptive cruise control package and the door window sills. If you go GT, get that MRCC package, as that cruise control is amazing!!!

  • How a Family Sedan Should Be - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

Impressive performance, good looks, reliable, great fuel economy not to mention value priced and extremely fun to drive. I almost dont have to say more. This is such a great car. My 4th Mazda and I keep coming back! Ive had the car for just over a month, but my job keeps me on the road with about 3,300 miles on the odometer. My commute requires some light traffic, rolling San Diego hills and speeds of about 75-80 and am consistently seeing 34 mpg having fun passing cars along the way. Its comfortable, has a great interior and the engine and transmission combo is oh so smooth... Hands down, you will not find an overall better value in this segment. Hesitating to buy? Do it!

  • Not Meeting Expectations - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

The car has a great appearance and seemed to be a decent value, but the fuel economy has not even come close to the averages seen on the window sticker. The sticker averages were 26 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. My car is averaging 24 mpg and I drive mostly on highways. Would not recommend!

  • 2 months and 3,000 Miles into it... - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

I drove an Acura TSX for 10 years and 175k miles and it was hard to let go. I researched for a year and narrowed down to 4 cars: Mazda6 GT, Honda Accord EX-L 4-cyl, Audi A4, and BMW 328. I quickly deleted the German cars because I didnt want to pay for premium fuel. Nothing wrong with the Honda, just a boring drive, but great features. When I sat in the 6, I knew I was home, great overall experience with all the creature comforts and Great MPGs.

  • Mazda 6 GT - It doesnt get better than this at $30k - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

Our trusty 2000 Subaru Legacy GT finally needed to be put down... It was a tragic day for us since we loved this car to death... literally. The good news is that we chose the new Mazda6 Grand Touring with the advanced cruise control and forward obstruction warning package. This badboy came loaded and dressed to the nines with its super slick (rotary inspired) 19" wheels. While it lacks the superior handling of symetrical all wheel drive and the low rev torque that our Legacy had, the Mazda6 handles the twisties and real life conditions with superb grace. Its a far smoother and refined machine compared to the Subaru. Everything about this car is just tight and mechanically perfect.

  • Astonishing value - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

I nursed my 2000 Protege to the bitter end but spent the last year researching new cars. While I test drove other cars (the 2013 Accord was the best, nice and smooth but bland), I kept coming back to the 2014 6. I drive stick and tested the Touring and Sport trims. In the end the options on the Touring werent worth the extra $$$. The touchscreen was distracting, the 19" wheels looked good but didnt ride well on rough rural roads, etc. Of course Ive never had most modern options, so I dont look to my car for infotainment stuff. The 6 Sport is a dream to drive, and thats good enough for me. And after incentives the price was barely over $20k, which is crazy low for this much car.
