  • Best Car for Tall Guys - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

First, Im 61" and have problems finding cars to fit me. I tried the Eclipse and Scion tC and found neither to have enough room for me. I tested the Mazda 6 cause it looked nice and was pleasantly surprised to find it had more than enough room for me. I loved the fact this car had everything I need within easy reach and the V6 was nice to drive. I bought an automatic and I have yet to regret the decision. The Bose audio sounds nice and the luxury package has options higher priced cars have like heated seats & heated mirrors. The sports package made this car look better and any other car. I bought the S sedan for 26k with tax and titles included.

  • FUN -- after the throttle body was replaced - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I fell in love on the test drive. All the fun interior toys, the spaciousness, the comfort, the styling, the quiet engine, the power! After a few months I noticed the engine lagged while it shifted gears, and it even shut itself off once. Not good. Then I took it in with all my complaints and they found a defective throttle body. If I had driven it much longer I could have done some serious damage to the engine. Now its fixed and its like having a new car again. Im still in love. I tested it once in the semi-snowy/icy Cascadia Mountains in Oregon and the traction control system kicked in nicely. Ill soon be moving from Nevada to Toronto, Canada. Cant wait to see how it does in the snow.

  • Fantastic Car - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

This is a great car. I had read the great reviews it had received and stopped in at the local dealer to get some info. The new sport wagon caught my eye first (driven mini-vans for 18 yrs) but it was the 5Dr Sport Sedan that got my attention. After the test drive I did not need to look anywhere else. The car looks great in Volcanic Red. It is unique enought that I dont see myself coming and going all the time. It handles and rides great. I am 63" and fit comfortable. I took my daughter back to school and everything I had brought home last spring (in the van) fit in the car for one trip. I love this car.

  • My favorite vehicle - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

Drove it 700 miles in heavy, fast-moving Labor Day weekend traffic and it performed beautifully. Road- hugging, extremely responsive, excellent braking. The car feels solid. Seats are very comfortable. The A/C worked well, controls are different but are easy to learn/find. Theres plenty of cargo room for luggage and dogs. I love the dual- position barrier net! Best of all, as I passed a sleek Z4 and my 15- year-old daughter in the front passenger seat turned to admire it, she noticed that the Z4s passengers were pointing and staring at OUR car!

I bought my 2004 glacier silver metallic 5-door (V6, 5-speed manual) in December 04 and have put nearly 3,000 miles on it. This is my first Mazda (previous VW Golf owner) and Im really happy with the car so far - excellent handling and performance. Test drove several other Japanese makes and the Mazda drove and handled closest to a German or European automobile. Unlike some other reviewers who reported poor mileage, Ive been averaging a very decent 27.5 mpg (70 percent highway, 30 percent city driving). Major options on my car: side impact air bags, sunroof, Bose sound system. There is very little I dont like about it. This car is a sleeper! Zoom, zoom! :-)

  • Mom with a sports car - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I love my Mazda 6, I am usually one to trade a car after a year or two. This is the longest Ive ever owned a vehicle and I plan to keep it as long as I can. I love the way people think because its sedan, it has no get up and go, Im proud to say my 6 keeps up with the big dogs. My husbands Nissan is luxury filled but I love the sportiness of the 6 and prefer it any day of the week. Before my 6 I always wanted to drive his car and now he always wants to drive mine. The bold style turns heads and you can be a cool mom with four doors. Mazda hit the mark on this one. Routine maintenance is all its ever needed and with that Im grateful. My husband says its deceptively fast!

My 90 year old mother bought this car 3 weeks ago. She loves the acceleration, interior design, stereo controls on the steering wheel, 17” alloy wheels and dual carbs. Her biggest gripe is that she didn’t purchase the Sport Package as she really would like to have the rear spoiler. When I visit her on the weekends, I leave my Bimmer in the driveway and tool around in the Mazda. My next car could very well be the Mazda 6, 5 speed.

I got this car to replace my mazda b- 2500 after it was rear ended at 70 mph by a much larger truck, its very roomy, comfortable, controls are easy but the gearbox is a bit notchy. car goes 0-60 in under 5 seconds with after market intake, the red display is cool, I am a VERY aggressive driver and this mazda seems to fulfill my needs. this is an easy car to work on if it develops any problems. the car i have is rock bottom of the 04 mazda6 line but im still pleased. zoom! zoom!

  • 6 is one of the best! - 2004 Mazda Mazda6

I literally test drove 10 different cars before I decided on either buying the 6 or the Subaru Outback. I finally went for the 6 because it is 1000s less than the Outback. I live in MN. Winter driving is part of out lives here. I found that the 6 handles the snowy days very very well, thanks to its all speed traction control. My wagon has the luxury and sport pack; makes the car looks really sporty and its amazingly comfortable! The auxiliary heater is great for winter. Handling on dry pavement is solid and inspires confidence around corners. Headlights with intergrated fog lights makes driving in the dark a lot more visible and safer. The sport shift is a lot of fun. But downshifting to gear #1 is a little rough!

I bought the car brand new. It has 90K miles on it now. I havent had one problem with it so far. It has plenty of power. The rear spoiler really dresses up the car nice. Its an all round great sporty car to drive! I love it!
