I have taken my Mazda on several road trips down to North Carolina. (four hours away) The ride has always been smooth and comfortable. The vehicle does not shimmy, shake, overheat or show any signs of unreliability. I always feel safe in my car. Never once has it taken more than one tank of gas to complete the trip.

This is a great alternative to a Honda Accord EX (I own a 2001 Accord EX also). Whats not to like about this car? Build quality has been great. A 5 speed, 16V DOHC 4 cylinder, 4 wheel discs with ABS, Michelin Pilots, moon roof, Bose stereo, front, side and side curtain air bags. A very nice, fun to drive vehicle. Fuel economy HWY: 28 MPG City: 24 MPG.

  • A cure for the common Camry - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

This car is a first class ride! Of all the family sedans available, only the Nissan rivals it for good looks and no other brand comes close to Mazdas excellent sports tuned suspension. Add a well-designed interior, supremely comfortable seats, and you have a car that rises above the ordinary. My wife and I test drove a Camry and found it to be a quiet car with neutral handling characteristics. When we took the Mazda out for a spin, we found that the Mazda 6 not only accommodates small families but does it with a good dose of fun. The 4-cylinder engine is adequate with the strong acceleration above 3 thousand RPM. The mileage is acceptable if not the best in its class.

  • Very disappointed in my Mazda6 - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

It seems like a solid car, and it handles nice, but there are too many things about it that fall short of expectations. Bought the 5-Door S model with 6 speed auto. I have owned it about 2 months. Compared to my 98 Maxima with a 5 speed manual, this car is SLOW. Maybe the automatic is the problem. It couldnt get up a hill if your life depended on it. The ride with the sport suspension is horrible on bumpy roads. The gas mileage is pathetic. I average 19 mpg combined. Climate control never blows hot air. Honestly, I would gladly take $2,000 less than what I paid for it and buy something else.

  • The new love of my life - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

I had a chevy blazer, 1999 that i traded in. I had way to many problems with it. The first and only car i looked at was a SILVER MAZDA 6. I loved how spacious this car is and all of the room in the trunk. I took that baby for a test drive and truly felt how clean she was. this car hugs corners and is such a blast to drive. Best way to describe it would be clean all around. My car was owned by one person, previously and had 52,000 miles. I would be using my car for work and also pleasure. My daughter and I drive to va beach alot, close to once amonth and have not had any type of issues so far. Even my boyfriend loves the way this mazda drives and cuts around corners. Very clean and sharp.

  • no regrets - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

I bought this car two weeks ago. I traded in my F-150 FX4 4x4; gas mileage was the main reason, but I wanted to still have a stylish looking performance minded vehicle. Im frugal not retired. A bland Toyota or Honda just wasnt in the cards. The Mazda 6s was the best bang for the buck and with all the standard features I have no regrets!

  • A Sports Car for the Family - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

With more than 27k miles now, my mpg continues to increase. No matter how hard I beat the car, it still returns 28 to 29 mpg. I do agree that low end torque is a little lacking, but this thing loves to rev. Plus, keeping the tach between 2500 and 4500rpm does not effect mpg at all. I cant say enough good things about this car.

  • Great car, needs a couple things - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

I tried an Altima, an Accord and a Mazda 3. I originally wanted a Miata but opted out because I needed more room. While in Mazda dealers I was always struck by the exterior and interior design of the Mazda6, so I test drove it and loved it. The handling is fabulous and the comfort of the leather seats is as good as Ive experienced in any car at any price. The fog lamps are the only ones Ive ever had on a car that were truly effective. The road feel is solid. Its great on long trips. Defect-free as delivered and still no defects of any sort have shown up after 2 months.

  • Theyre still doing it. - 2005 Mazda Mazda6

This is my third Mazda in a row and each new one gets me to love them even more. Dependable, comfortable and great to look at. I dont understand why Mazda doesnt sell more cars in the US than they do now.

I drove my Mazda 6from St. Louis to San Diego and back and its just what I expected. It has a very smooth shifting 6 speed automatic transmission and nice acceleration; the interior seems to get a little uncomfortable after a long period of time; the 200 watt Bose sound is awesome and easy to use. It’s the most fun car I have ever driven. This is a great car for people who enjoy driving or like to make it fun. I was amazed at how this car grips the road. I tried to throw it around a little bit but it kept griping the road so that’s great. I highly recommend this car for all driving conditions.
