  • 2000-mile review - 2015 Mazda Mazda6

I have had my Mazda6 for a month and a half now. I am, overall, very happy with the vehicle. I was leaning towards a Honda Accord because I have owned Hondas in the past, but I could not stand the CVT. This brings up my favorite feature in the Mazda: the automatic transmission - perfect, absolutely perfect. It is smooth and quick shifting, and always eager to downshift for more power. It is like it reads my mind and is always ready for the next move. It is, quite simply, the best automatic transmission I have ever experienced. The engine is smooth and powerful enough. I have not really measured fuel economy. The interior and exterior design are clean and un-cluttered.

Overall this is a great car. Its fun to drive, and it has a lot of features that come with a low price tag. I bought the package that gave me the 6-speed manual with leather, and the entertainment package. While it has a lot of great things to it, the entertainment system still seems to be a major point where Mazda saved money. There is a decent amount of lag between the use of the center console or steering wheel controls to the actual response on the unit. The leather also feels very thin. I dont think its real leather, and I worry Ill puncture it. It still looks good though and a lot of people comment on how nice looking the car is. Transmission is superb.. shifting is smooth.

  • Mazda 6 i Sport Update--7 months later - 2015 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

This is un updated review based on having this car now for 7 months and 3600 miles. The exterior styling is still an eye catcher and the seats are comfortable with the right amount of support. The engine has decent power but could be better from 0-20 mph w/o being somewhat aggressive with the gas pedal. The Yokohama tires have good grip combined with the 17" wheels. Steering and suspension are responsive to every input so you can have fun taking corners or enjoy a smooth ride in daily commuting. The interior is simply laid out with good ergonomics, high quality materials and switchgear throughout. Its not a flashy interior, which is a good thing. This is a drivers car!

  • The Non Mainstream Sedan - 2015 Mazda Mazda6

This is a beautiful affordable sedan. It has character and the ride quality is not bad even with the 19" wheels. It looks and feels upscale inside a out. I got it with the Sunroof and Bose package which is a must for this car. The Stereo sounds amazing. The car feels safe and stable.

  • not too shabby - 2015 Mazda Mazda6

So i decided to trade my hyundai for one of these. while i have not really driven this yet i can tell it should be fun. i have more room on the inside and the layout is basic. I opted for a base model minus the the fancy radio and gadgetry. also the price was right. so far it rides well throttle response is better and the ride is very quiet. the 4 gerbils under the hood seem to be very happy and get the wheels moving quite quickly. i dont know about fuel economy but i expect it to be rather decent for a 4 cylinder. note i have only owned this for about 5 hours.

1st. TY to all the reviewers, I read before I purchased. As others have covered a nice looking car and handles well. I like the car but some things to look at that you many not notice on a test drive. Note these are the cloth seats in the sport. The height and lean mechanisms seem cheap. There are big gaps in the adjustment levels. I found it hard to find a comfortable seating position. Check the fit for you on a long drive. The OS mirrors are set back more than any car I have driven and take some getting used to. A plus for me = you can turn off the AC in defrost mode and you contol if air is circulated from outside or in

  • follow up from november 2014 - 2015 Mazda Mazda6

have had a chance to drive this for some time now. only been about 1300 miles but i can better review it now vs. 5 hours. overall the car is alot of fun, again i have the base model. this IS a sport sedan with the sport sedan feel so i will caution you up front the ride is stiff and the suspension will NOT be like driving an El dorado. now that does not mean you feel every bump and pebble in the road either. get it on a smooth highway and you hear almost nothing at all. the motor idles near flawlessly at stop. and the OEM tires seem to hold the sharp turns on a nice mountain very well. the info center is good for MPG. but the 6 spd manual. also helps achieve well over the listed 28 mpg. city

  • Great looking car, lots of tech, good mileage too; but need more power. - 2015 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

I got the 2015 Mazda 6 Grand Touring in red, black leather interior with contrast stitching, Tech package and with mats, bumper applique etc. MSRP was $33.4k, got it for $30.7k and leased it for $370/mo with no down for 3 yr/15k lease. Now to the actual review of the car. The car just looks gorgeous and I always wanted a red car. The engine is under-powered, but the i-eloop gives great gas mileage (40% hwy/60% city = 33 mpg). The ride is a little harsh, especially for people in the back, the 19" low profile tires are overkill in my opinion. Interior materials are top notch, seats comfortable and Bose sound system is good too. Steering is a little light for my liking but its smooth.

  • Defects Make Buying Pointless - 2015 Mazda Mazda6
    By -

This car is stylish, great to drive, and the extra perks make it comparable to other luxury cars. The problem? I bought my 2015 MAZDA6 Grand Touring (with Technology Package, low profile tires, and remote start engine) in November of 2014. One month later the car died on me. What happened? The TPMS was constantly misinforming me of low tire pressure, but that wasnt the biggest issue. The big problem was the power control module dying. After a month of waiting for the part to come in I was finally given a substitution vehicle identical to my original car. This car, after 5 days of ownership, is also having the Tire Pressure Warning come on unnecessarily. Mazda has not been helpful.
