Mazda has a tradition of building entertaining small cars, and the Mazda 3 fits right in with its sharp handling and engaging nature. But it's also a practical, affordable runabout that's available as either a sedan or a handy four-door hatchback. A Mazda 3 of any vintage is worth consideration, but the 3's interior quality has improved dramatically over time. Likewise, fuel economy has emerged as a real strength in recent years.
Introduced in 2004, the Mazda 3 has always been one of those cars that feels a little bit special when you get behind the wheel. Some shoppers might find the ride too firm, but if you like to drive, you'll probably take a shine to this compact Mazda. Passenger room is the same in the sedan and hatchback, but the latter offers more cargo room. If fuel economy is a priority, note that 2012 and later models benefit from updated engine technology that helps the car return significantly better mileage.

Reliable, Safe, and a FUN CAR TO OWN! - 2006 Mazda Mazda3
By WB3Jay - July 25 - 10:00 amI bought this car brand new (coming out of a Mazda Millenia) with 7 miles on it. 5 years and 120,000+ miles later I am still a proud owner. This is one reliable car with nothing needing replacing with the exception of normal wear and tear items (I went 115k on the original front brake pads!). Ive been through 2 sets of tires and 2 rear brake jobs thats it. It is so much fun to drive and that means a lot to someone who spends a lot of time in their car. Gas mileage has been around 25 mpg.

By Victoria - July 25 - 10:00 amI bought this car after driving a 99 Chevy Cavalier with over 200,000 miles that I constantly find myself sinking money into for repairs. I wasnt sure about the Mazda Sport until I drove the car. The car is fun, easy on the highway, awesome on gas, smooth and a comfortable ride. I love to zoom, zoom and switch it from a standard shift to a manual when I am on the interstate. I am enjoying it immensely.

A Great Value that Does everything well - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By caholla - July 24 - 9:36 pmI traded my Miata in for a 3s hatchback. It does everything well, and nothing poorly. Ive had no issues with it in almost a year. Its fun to drive, roomy, comfortable, stylish. The features you get for the price are unexpected...I love the gauges, it has a decent stereo, lots of character and is well assembled.

Great car - 2014 Mazda Mazda3
By dtom1 - July 17 - 6:02 amI bought a 2014 Mazda 3 Touring in May 2014. So far Im very satisfied with its performance, fuel economy, ride and handling. Its giving 32 mpg and I drive mostly within the city. On highways the car is extremely stable and predictable.
