I bought my 2004 mazda3 used in 2006 with about 30k miles. Water pump died at 60k, alternator fried at 80k. Transmission crumped at 120k (ouch!). Fun to drive, surprisingly smooth on the highway for a 4-cylinder, and a good looking car inside and out. Id buy another one, but probably opt for a 5-speed next time.

I will just tell you that I sell cars for a living. I want say what brand but lets just say Honda makers love them. This Mazda m3s 5 speed I just bought is awesome. Awesome styling, awesome ride, and a hoot to drive. The looks are going to drive compact car makers to the limit to catch up. If you want a great quality built car for 17,000.00, this is it.

I bought the Mazda 3s to drive to work, then retired early. Yes, Im that old. Its been a great car, fun to drive and fairly grippy at speed on winding roads. We drive between Montana and California living in two rural communities. Fun driving at both ends. Not bad on long trips and adds FUN to the drive. Good mileage (between 25 and 30) and no repairs to date (about 30000 miles). Ive owned a 325 BMW, TR-6, and still own and drive a 91 Corvette and this little 3 fits in nicely with the fun to drive group.

  • Best In Class - 2004 Mazda Mazda3

Ive owned my Mazda 3S for 2 months, and I love it!!! It was my first new car purchase. I did a lot of research before buying this car; and did not find any other cars in this class that could compare. I come from a family that reveres Honda, but have all acknowledged that the Civic has been beaten. Badly. My friend has a new Audi A4 1.8T and was very surprised at the 3s performance (much faster off the line than the a4), as well as the well appointed interior of the Mazda 3. The low price of this vehicle also put a big lump in her throat. The 3 has a perfect balance of Performance, Economy, Luxury, and Fun. The 5 Speed gearbox in this car is amazing!

Bought my black 3s sedan after seeing one on the road, loving its looks compared to everything else in the price range. Decided on the stick for fun & added power, upgraded virtually everything I could. Car has proven to be a blast! Look forward to driving it whenever I can. Quick, confident handling & braking, quiet, comfortable, tons of room for its small size, stereos great, stick is fast & easy. I would get the automatic next time cuz of the traffic Im often in. Overall, cant recommend this car highly enough. Fit and finish were flawless.

In Canada we have the top of the line GT with a GFX package. This car is so much fun to drive and the handling is just amazing as well as the brakes. Interior is beautifuly crafted with high quality materials which puts other cars in this class to a SHAME. This vehicle is by far of superior nature and quality. The 2.3 engine with a 160hp is fun and gives great gas mileage. Id suggest to get the 5 speed manual to truly enjoy what this car can throw at you.

This is an awesome car! The outside is very sleep and stylish, the headlights are similar to BMW, the black looks very classy. The alloy wheels are nice, the interior is very comfortable and the controls are well lit, very very very nice car for the money. Great power. Smooth quiet ride.

I bought my 3s to replace my totaled 626. A desire for better fuel econony and performance drove me to the 3s over the Mazda6, which had a reputation for being unreliable.Ive owned the car for exactly four months, drive 40mi daily. Im 510" and in good shape. But, no amount of seat/steering wheel adjustment has rendered a comfortable driving position. I cant find a comfortable spot for my right leg with the tapered design of the center console. The two lane black top I test drove the car on proved what a quick, nimble fun-to-drive winner Mazda created. But, I spend most of my time in rush hour traffic at 15mph. Never wouldve guessed this woould happen. So I gave it to my "dainty" wife.

I love this car! It is very responsive and handles beautifully. The fit and finish is impeccable. There is no competition when it comes to styling. It is best looking compact car around.

  • Perfect Car - 2004 Mazda Mazda3

Ive been looking for a car for almost a year now. I just purchased the 2004 Mazda 3 s with the Automatic transmission. Its about time a manufacturer built a car under 20k that has a ton of features. It drives like sports car, very stiff suspension and steering. Ive been getting around 28 mpg fuel economy which is great since gas prices are so high now. It turns heads every where I go. I really like the style. The stereo system rivals mosts peoples home theatres, and the in dash 6 disc changer is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
