This Year's Model Updates:

Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

  • Love my new Mazda3! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I reluctantly said goodbye to my 11- year-old Saturn after repair costs became too great. I would have considered another Saturn but I have concerns about the future of the company. Since I know nothing about cars, I spent a lot of time here researching. Consumer reviews for Honda and Toyota were mixed but reviews for the Mazda3 were great so I decided to start my test driving there. After my first test drive, I didnt need to test anything else. I drove two hours to the only dealer who had the iTouring in gunmetal blue. Im glad I did...the color is beautiful!

  • Luxury Car Replacement? - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

This is an initial review and Ill provide more feedback after logging more miles. However, here are some first thoughts. The Mazda 3s GT is a very fun car to drive, with good performance and excellent handling. It is not very refined, with much engine noise and some cheap interior materials. It is a very good car, but maybe not as great as people say. Compared to a Civic or Corolla it is worlds better; compared to an Audi or Saab it is worlds worse. The decontenting (no more mirror signals, foot well illumination, etc) that took place mid-year gives away some of the cars edge on competitors.

I just bought the 2010 Mazda 3 iTouring. It was a good decision as it is a very nice car. I have noticed that the power is not so hot. I cant think of anything else I would change. Maybe put some more durable interior materials - lots of plastic.

  • I love driving. - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I owned 2005 Mazda3 2.3 which was really good. I was eagerly waiting for the 2010 Mazda3 from last November. It has been upgraded on every aspect. It has enough hp and torque to enjoy a daily driving. My friend has Corolla, and she compared that boring Corolla to my new Mazda3. It is not even comparable. If you want to get a compact car or an entry luxury sedan, you should try new Mazda3. You wont be disappointed.

  • In A Class of Its Own - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Tough to add to so many enthusiastic reviews. They are all correct. I have owned all sorts of cars and can tell you that this 3 is an amazing little machine. Sexy looks, stellar handling, zoomy power plant, lux/techy/sporty interior, chock full of technology. Plus, Mazda reliability. All at a ridiculously low price. Pssst, buy this car!

I agree with a lot of the reviews of this terrific little car. I previously owned a BMW 3 series, for ten years, and so I am used to great handling and a few creature comforts indoors. This car, so much less expensive (which in this economy was important for me) made me feel right at home, right away. So fun to drive, I dont want to arrive home. In fact, I drive slower just to prolong the joy. This is my take on the car and believe me I am not prone to giving excessive praise to anything or anybody.

It took me forever to decide what kind of car I was going to get. Theyre all so similar, I didnt know where to begin. The moment I saw my Mazda in person I knew it was the car for me. It wasnt even the color or model I had the dealer quote me via email, but I knew it had to be mine. It is so much fun to drive, music up sunroof open, its my "me" time!

  • Clutch Issue - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

I purchased a 2010 mazda 3 hatchback on 5/31/09. Car was driven for only two days and had problems w/ the clutch disc. Dealer repaired the issue then drove the car the next day. Car just stopped in the middle of the road and will not move, this time dealer ended up changing the clutch and transmission. To make the long story short I opted for a collateral exchange with the same model and specification as the 1st car I purchased.I got a 2nd car, after driving it for 2 weeks, car broke down again bec of the burnt clutch.I have driven a manual stick shift car for almost 20 years and this problem never happened to my Accord and Acura.I opted for lawyer representation bec Mazda wont fix the issue

  • Extremely good car- Both looks and Value - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

getting 30-37 mpg. Turns heads. Overhear people saying thats what i want... Only regret is that i could not get with sunroof when purchased and the ventilation is a bit strange without it. Otherwise a fantastic car and I was able to get at an unusually low price- so negotiate! You will not be disappointed in this car..

  • One of the best! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
    By -

I loved my 2005 Mazda 3 sport sedan as it was a great car. Over 160000 miles on it with absolutely no issues what so ever. This new 2010 model is even better. Better mileage better comfort and better features. Build quality looks to be very good again with fit and finish again at the tops of its class. Im six foot 5 inches tall and I fit in this car with no troubles at all. Im not sure what the other guy was talking about when he said tall people look elsewhere? Compared to its to closest competitors, its got the most room inside for us tall folks. The only other small sedan that can compare comfort wise for us tall folks is the Nissan Sentra. Great buy, great car, recommend!!
