Overview & Reviews
The Mazda 3 is an all-new economy sedan and hatchback that replaces the Protege in Mazda's lineup.
- Fun-to-drive character, stylish interior design, strong engines, hatchback utility.
- Ride might be too stiff for some, a few ergonomic quirks, tight rear legroom.

Just purchased - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By Oscbert - November 22 - 10:00 amWas checking out Subaru Impreza. Then dealer recommended me to test drive the Mazda 3. Loved it. Bought it. Been running smoothly. Lot faster then I expected. Gas mileage doesnt seem so great, but not bad. It came with afterstock Rims. Make it look really sporty get a lot of looks.

2004 Mazda 2.3s sedan - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By Krzysztof K - November 12 - 9:36 amI bought her from private in March 2007 at 36,000 miles. Now - August 2008 she has 53,000 miles. Average 24.31 MPG - 60% city/ 40% highway (I have heavy foot). 32 MPG highway at A/C and 70-85 MPH speed. 250 miles at the city per full tank. One of the best purchases what I did. Fun to drive, good acceleration, excellent handle, short turning circle, very good brakes, finish internal very well and nice outline too - thats what I like. ** CEL appeared after I filled premium fuel, so I use regular. 100% satisfied and highly recommended.

GRRREAT!!! ;) - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By J@Y MONEY - October 14 - 2:00 amI TRADED IN MY 2003 PROTEGE 5 FOR THE NEW 2004 4 DOOR MAZDA 3S NICE RIDE;) THE BIGGER ENGINE IS WORTH THE DRIVE&PURCHASE ALONE, NO COMPARISON TO THE PROTEGE 5 OR PROTEGE. IVE DONE ALOT OF WORK BORING OUT THE ENGINE IN THAT CAR!! AND STILL DOESNT COMPARE TO THE 2.3 160 HP BESIDES ALL THE GOODIES YOU GET IN THE S MODEL FOR THE PRICE, IS GRRREAT!!! SPORT SUSPENSION, 17" ALLOY WHEELS, SUNROOF, XENON LIGHTS ETC ITS DEFINATELY WORTH THE PURCHASE!!!

Quick and Fun Hatch - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By H Brown - October 9 - 10:00 amThis car is way better than I thought it would be, and I expected it to be very good indeed. Its quiet, fast, reasonably economical and loaded with things that are extra cost options or not available in the Toyota and Honda products in the same price range. The 5 door looks very European and gets almost 100% positive feedback, and the handling in quite good despite the pricey low performance Goodyear tires that are standard. If it handles this good on junky tires, think what it would be like with a good set of Michelins or Yokohamas.

Ooh, Torque! - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By thebeansoldier - October 4 - 10:00 amThe 3s (2.3L) is fun to drive! I got the MTX and the torque I feel compared to my previous car (95 base Neon ATX) is very strong. Its very quiet on the freeway- didnt notice I was doing 80mph until I looked at the speedometer.
