This Year's Model Updates:

Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

I dont think you can beat the performance of this car for the price. I have to agree with other people, that after driving this car I have a big smile on my face. The car handles great (it was better than I expected.) The quality interior is a great value and you cant beat a 6 speed manual. Another surprising trait was the lack of road and wind noise inside the cabin. The A/C is cold and the fan speed is sufficient.

I did a lot of reviews on mazda3, civic, corolla, drive them all and wow, what a difference. You can really feel the power of mazda3, I love the features, you have all you need and they are really useful. I bought this hatchback at invoice price, graphite color to hide the smiling grille. I have the Bose package but my accords sound system is way far better than the Bose. Maybe because it doesnt have the subwoofer and only the front speakers are the Bose, the rest are standard. Over all, I love the aggressive look of the hatchback, civic and corolla just look so boring. Well see this coming fall when the 2011 civic comes out. Im a Honda boy, but the m3 hatchback is really a top competitor.

  • Picked the Mazda 3 over the Volvo S40 - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

It was time to trade my 2007 Mazda 3 & I was looking at the Volvo S40. The Volvo design was appealing & the size was similar to my 07 Mazda 3. I test drove the 2010 Mazda 3 Grand Touring and the Volvo S40. No comparison! Although I really liked the idea of owning a Volvo (safety & status), it really could not compete w/ the fun-to- drive feel of the Mazda. The sticker price for the LOADED (everything including navi & push-button start) Mazda was $25,900 while the Volvo (with some amenities but nowhere near the options) was $32,000. For the feel of the two, there was just no way to justify a $6,000 difference. And, the 2010 Mazda feels much better than its 2007 predecessor. I love this car!

  • Glad I passed on the Civic.. - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Tremendous driving experience..it feels tight on corners, has a lot more zip than my Tiburon and gets great mileage. Only owned it for a week but I am extremely happy that i opted for the Mazda rather than the Civic. I bought with my heart and not my head, but now my head agrees :) First tank of gas averaged 31 mpg.

  • Buy what you need - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I examined all the levels of this car and found them to be vastly different in power and capabilities, yet all were well built. Now if you go out and buy the least expensive m3, its the only one without power locks and hubcaps, well thats what you get. Fortunately if you upgrade a few thousand you get more power and amenities and the car is a different animal-= my sport hb is fast, out-handles my previous BMW 3 series and smokes my girlfriends Lexus is250 like its asleep. So if you know what you want and shop smartly you will have no regrets. Buy a base model and yes you get pinner tires and plastic hubcaps - but how can you complain its not a Ferrari when you know what you bought?

We are on our 3rd Mazda3 if that tells you anything. We purchased a new one in 2006, traded that for a 2008 with more equipment and traded that and leased a 2010 when the body style changed, we just had to have it. We wondered how they could improve on a car that we loved so much but they did! Our 2010 is more refined, quieter, more responsive. Thus the need to have it!

Coming from an airplane size and noise gift car(1999 Chevrolet Malibu) this is an amazing car,,, i have no comparison with other same type vehicles, but i have no reason to think about changing so far,,, Drawbacks: back seats space, and driver seat when used as a recliner kills your back Cool Stuff: all the features, bluetooth, cruise, sunroof, etc(bluetooth lady is awesome and very funny, somewhat anoying too hehehe) the looks i love it, i putted a 18" rims is beautiful what can i say,,,is worth it,,, sure it is

  • Great Car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Purchased the car 3 weeks ago and already put in 1000 miles on it. Interior is very comfortable around town and on long trips. Mileage is not that great but it does have a relatively large engine so thats to be somewhat expected. Bose sound system is great. Would highly recommend this car.

Most reviewers for this car seem very content. After owning this M3 for nearly a year I am in that camp. If I ever run into one of those "discontents" I would gladly take the car off their hands at a deep discount for my son or daughter. Handling is superb...power from the 2 liter is fine for my needs...mileage has been decent, not great. Car has done very well in snow and slippery conditions due to esc, traction control, abs. Very well designed body for high wind stability. Ride is rather busy around town due to tight suspension but thats the way sporty cars feel.My wifes 2009 Mazda 6 is much smoother so we use it on big trips. Love that car too. Rear bumper scratches easily in parkin

  • Best First Car! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

For my first car I bought a white 2010 Mazda 3 2.0 liter i Touring with the moon and tune package. It currently has just over 52000 miles on it. The 2.0 liter 4 cyl. has good pick-up around town, but passing and merging on the freeway are a little strained. Its a fun little car that handles great and has a lot of nice features like a Bose sound system, a power sunroof, and Bluetooth. The ride is surprisingly comfortable on most bumps but on wavy surfaces it bounces up and down a lot. Its pretty quiet inside now that I put new tires on it. Everything is easy to reach while youre driving. It feels really nice and stable on the freeway, and the ride settles a bit as well.
