This Year's Model Updates:

Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

  • Good Choice! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Ive had the car car for one week now. Very impressed with it so far. 1st tank of gas got 27.5 mpg (mostly city). The next tank was a true all-highway trip and I got 34.5 mpg. So far, so good! Not even broken in yet. Tilt/telescoping wheel can interfere with speedo/tach if adjusted to how I would ultimately like it; have had to adjust my seating position to work around this. Seems like some tire noise compared to my old 98 cavalier.

  • Absolute best car for the money - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I just purchased a 2010 Mazda3 using the CARS program. After a lot of searching for a vehicle, and test driving my fair share, I was turned onto the mazda3 and never looked back. The biggest complaint that most people seem to have is the room, but I tend to disagree. I am 65" and I fit in this vehicle better than the many SUV and larger looking vehicles. I will admit that my roominess may be at the expense of my the backseat passengers, but thats just a perk of being the driver! The handling is unreal, and the bluetooth feature autosynchs with my phone the second I start my car. This is the best car I have ever driven.

  • No more Hondas after driving this car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

This car is great. Smooth ride for a smaller car, nice and zippy. Getting 27mph combined and hopefully better after a few thousand break-in miles.I have been a Honda guy forever, but this car beats any Honda I have driven. Good choice if you like a quick car that has some cargo space and better than average gas mileage.I was impressed with the suspension, soft for a smaller car, with a Honda you feel every little crack on the road.Love it!

  • Great Car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Went from a Lexus IS 250 to a Mazda 3 GT with the tech and bose package. Couldnt be happier. For well over $12,000 less than the Lexus, I get far more features (heated seats, rain sensing wipers, seat memory, bluetooth phone AND music streaming, xenon adaptive headlights, Navigation, etc.). Much more fun to drive than the Lexus (got the 6sp manual on the 3). For the price (I got well under invoice) there is nothing that can compare.

  • Avoid. - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

The car is really loud inside. No need to opt for the upgraded stereo because its really poor -you can tell when the car is parked. When the car is moving, you cant hear anything anyway. The interior and exterior trim are so cheap and flimsy. When you are shopping dont be afraid to tug on these bits and youll see what I mean. be gentle in case there is a break it you own it policy. I get 19.2 mpg combined, which is appalling for a modern 4 cyl 3000 Ib car. The seat is too small for me (front), Im 57", 140 Ibs. The lights are worthless, cant see anything- I could go on but Im getting tired -in short, please dont waist your hard earned $$.

  • Fun car with a lot to offer - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Had this car for 1 month and absolutely love it! Very much a bargain for what was included in the Grand Touring (leather, climate, sunroof, sound). I little bit noisy on uneven pavement but very nimble and fun to drive. The hatchback offers a lot of versatility and the styling is very European - not boring like so many of the sub-compacts. Gas mileage could be better but I am willing to give up a few miles per gallon for the additional horsepower. Highly recommend this car.

  • Very pleased. - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I really like my Mazda 3. I traded a 2000 Miata for it, and expected a letdown in the fun-to-drive department when it came time to trade. I didn’t have much money to spend, and I needed something economical for my very long daily commute. Those criteria don’t usually lend themselves to much fun. Or so I thought. The Mazda 3 is great fun to drive. The 2.0 liter engine revs willingly and the five-speed manual shifts smoothly and positively. It corners flat, the steering is precise, and it brakes confidently. And for an inexpensive car, the 3 doesnt look or feel cheap. Materials and build quality are good. There really is something to the "zoom- zoom" stuff.

  • From a former 2004 Audi A6 owner - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

Just stepped down from an Audi A6 to a gun metal blue Mazda 3 GT (or did I). Love this car after just a week of ownership. Design, build, performance are all top notch for its class. Test drove this and a Mazda 6 (we already own a CX-7) and found that I liked the 3 better. I couldnt afford the six cylinder Mazda 6 and the 4 cyc appeared way down on power. Best bang for my buck. We now own 2 Mazdas with this being the fourth. No regrets.

  • Makes long commutes fun and sporty - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I love this car! I considered an Audi A3 TDI, which was easily $15K more, but am ecstatic I got the Mazda3. More Money does not equal a better car! My Mazda3 has the technology package and moon & tune package, so I am smiling all the way to work. It performs pretty well, and has awesome cornering. However, downshifting can sometimes be slow. But that is the only mediocrity I have with the car. My mileage varies from 25 - 28 depending on how much highway driving I do. But that is something I expected before buying. The technology package rocks! I dont mind the navigation screen size, and love the bluetooth audio streaming. Very comfortable all around, and hints of high quality material.

  • Best Bang for the Buck - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

OK so I have only had the car for 5 days but I have to admit it has compelled me to write this review. The s Grand Touring hatchback is probably the best car for the dollar I have ever owned and that is saying something given my 51 years of life and a multitude of purchases. I traded in my Honda CR-V and have no regrets. Of course the car is lacking AWD and the extra room but if you can live without those features you will not regret purchasing the Mazda. I purchased the GT with the Moonroof and Bose stereo option, 24K total. Bi- Zenon Adaptive headlights, leather heated seats, rain sensing wipers, killer sound system, my wife has a BMW 328xi and prefers the Mazda, could of saved 20K.
