Model Overview:

Mazda has a tradition of building entertaining small cars, and the Mazda 3 fits right in with its sharp handling and engaging nature. But it's also a practical, affordable runabout that's available as either a sedan or a handy four-door hatchback. A Mazda 3 of any vintage is worth consideration, but the 3's interior quality has improved dramatically over time. Likewise, fuel economy has emerged as a real strength in recent years.

Introduced in 2004, the Mazda 3 has always been one of those cars that feels a little bit special when you get behind the wheel. Some shoppers might find the ride too firm, but if you like to drive, you'll probably take a shine to this compact Mazda. Passenger room is the same in the sedan and hatchback, but the latter offers more cargo room. If fuel economy is a priority, note that 2012 and later models benefit from updated engine technology that helps the car return significantly better mileage.

  • Powerless - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I just bought the 2010 Mazda 3 iTouring. It was a good decision as it is a very nice car. I have noticed that the power is not so hot. I cant think of anything else I would change. Maybe put some more durable interior materials - lots of plastic.

  • Luxury at a lower sticker price! - 2008 Mazda Mazda3

I LOVE my Mazda. I purchased a used 2005 Mazda3s in September of 2009, which was totaled when I was rear-ended in November. I did not hesitate to purchase another Mazda. Taking advantage of the fact that there was a new body style (2010) coming out, I got a great deal on a 2008 3s GT. I definitely recommend the s. The 2.3 makes a difference. I test drove an i and it just didnt have the same sporty feel, especially going up hills. I have had various rentals in the same class as the Mazda, and have also test driven quite a few cars within the class. None have compared. The handling is superb, very tight and responsive.

I had researched this car before I purchased and found it to be the best buy for the money. This car has great pickup and is fun to drive.

  • I love driving. - 2010 Mazda Mazda3

I owned 2005 Mazda3 2.3 which was really good. I was eagerly waiting for the 2010 Mazda3 from last November. It has been upgraded on every aspect. It has enough hp and torque to enjoy a daily driving. My friend has Corolla, and she compared that boring Corolla to my new Mazda3. It is not even comparable. If you want to get a compact car or an entry luxury sedan, you should try new Mazda3. You wont be disappointed.

  • Great car for the price - 2006 Mazda Mazda3

I must admit, I own a Miata so I expected a great car from Mazda. I am not disappointed! From the time I walked in to now I have had a blast! The car rides much better then expected. Turning is great, the noise level from outside is very low compared to others in the price range. The bottle holder in the door panel is great as it keeps it out of the way, very nice little touch. The interior is much better then any car in the price range and may rival cars in higher prices ranges. Gas mileage is good, not what I expected but I drive hard and still get in the 28 range in city. Would have like a higher front seat. Clearly recommend this car. Zoom-Zoom

  • My New 3 - 2004 Mazda Mazda3

I love the quality of this car especially for the price. The feel is also sports car like, smooth shifting man-mode. The stereo is out of this world for such an entry level sedan. I chose the six speaker system w the 16" wheel package. I also chose the fog lamps, which they complete the look for this Velocity Red Mica sedan. The paint has a lot of metallic gold flakes in the paint, nice touch when the sun is out.

  • The Best in its class - 2004 Mazda Mazda3

This car has more "bang for its buck" then anything else in its class. The power is excellent, and it handles like my friends BMW 325xi, and for half the price. The leather seats are very comfortable, and the 6 disk CD changer is easy to use, and works well with the rest of the console design.

  • 2008 Mazda 3s Hatchback GT - 2008 Mazda Mazda3

Took delivery early April. Have driven about 1600 miles already. Average mpg 23-24. Very lively and comfortable to drive. Like the dash layout and the feel. Nav system limits operation to while stationary. Unable to tell if the outside review mirrors are heated? Front seats comfortable. Rear seat leg space tight. Front seat heaters do not turn off automatically!
