Mazda has a tradition of building entertaining small cars, and the Mazda 3 fits right in with its sharp handling and engaging nature. But it's also a practical, affordable runabout that's available as either a sedan or a handy four-door hatchback. A Mazda 3 of any vintage is worth consideration, but the 3's interior quality has improved dramatically over time. Likewise, fuel economy has emerged as a real strength in recent years.
Introduced in 2004, the Mazda 3 has always been one of those cars that feels a little bit special when you get behind the wheel. Some shoppers might find the ride too firm, but if you like to drive, you'll probably take a shine to this compact Mazda. Passenger room is the same in the sedan and hatchback, but the latter offers more cargo room. If fuel economy is a priority, note that 2012 and later models benefit from updated engine technology that helps the car return significantly better mileage.

Not as girlie girl as Id like..... - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By zoomzoomhappy - March 19 - 4:33 pmDont get me wrong, I LOVE my Mazda3. The only thing(s) I dont like is the visors are really "cheap." They have no light either for night time touch-ups. We chose the leather interior because it is SO much more comfortable than their cloth option. I have to say that the only problem Ive had is recently I couldnt open my drivers side door. My husband was able to fix it easily without having to bring it in, but other than that its the best buy/best car Ive ever owned. The only reason I need to upgrade is we are going to have another kid. Back seat is not big enough for 2 car seats. We are so happy with Mazda that we might go with the new CX-7. I always get Qs, and highly recommend!

Fine Wine - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By DDN - March 19 - 3:36 pmLike fine wine, the mazda 3 gets better with age and design. Wow, what a great car. I originally purchased a 2007 model and loved it. I recently traded up for the 2010 model. This is the only make and model I have owned on two separate occasions. It rides like a champ! Mazda is superior to Toyota, Nissan and Honda. The sales team at Cory Fairbanks Mazda made the purchase stress free without the "high pressure" tactics I have experienced in the past. Awesome vehicle!!!

Way to go, Mazda! - 2013 Mazda Mazda3
By acade - March 18 - 11:21 amI recently bought this car used, having searched for a GT with manual transmission. I had bought a 2012 Skyactive GT with auto since the manual was not available. Wow! What a difference the transmission makes. Drivability is greatly improved with such a slick shifter and smooth clutch. Its the best manual Ive driven, having previously owned 06 and 09 Mazda 3s with manual. Engine power is modest but made more than bearable due to excellent handling and truly outstanding gas mileage. Add to that a fully functional in-dash touchscreen navigation, blind spot monitoring, keyless entry and ignition, auto wipers, and articulating headlights and you have a great automobile.

Great car - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By kai696 - March 14 - 3:41 amI was never a huge fan of Mazda but when I got this car I really loved it. It worked well and was very reliable, no maintenance at the 100,000km mark (except regular maintenance of course), however it doesnt have a lot of power, I notice theres a bit of a delay from when I press the gas peddle into when it picks up, I never had this on my Toyota Echo.. but all in all I think this car is great for anyone upgrading from a smaller car. They will be pleasently surprised how much it has to offer. Car came with Moon roof/AC/ Power Windows / CD/Bluetooth combo. I only wish the turning would be a bit more tight, but it does turn well.. just not quite well enough..

By pwrofjoe - March 11 - 8:44 pmI was caught between buying a Honda Civic, VW Jetta or the Mazda3. The Civic lacked substance.. it was simple, not sporty, lacked knobs and features. The VW fell in the same category as the Civic, it was just blah. Dont get me wrong, they are great cars, but their design lacks a statement. Its just another car parked at the grocery store. The Mazda3 has great design, modern and a nice body kit. The interior feels solid and luxurious. Some people like the the front grill and others dont. In all honesty, if you dont sport a turbo charger, a big block engine or some NA performance engine, you dont need to have an aggressive front grill. The Mazda3 is a fun car and should be smiling! I started looking at the Mazda 3 when I read glowing reviews, and decided on buying one when my friend told me he could let me use his employee discount to get one. I love the european-styling of this car. People have mistaken it for the new BMW 3 Series, and I always notice drivers going the other way checking out the front end of this car. Its not as expensive as it looks. The flip side is that its not as fast as it looks. This car is a great value if you get it fully loaded. However, if youre just looking for a base model, you are probably better off in a Civic or Corolla.

The quality of the Materials used in the interior is among the best i have ever seen , the Stereo is awesome once you get used to its controls. And of course everyone knows Mazda makes the Best Manual Transmissions. The attention to details is typical Japanese, everyday you will find something new and exciting to love about this car such as the built in Paper clips behind the vanity mirrors to hold your notes or travelling directions or the Velvet lined upper compartment of the armrest to hold and protect your sunglasses, or the Waterbottle holders in the doors. Awesome Machine , i love it.

By Jenndr81 - March 8 - 9:56 amI just bought my 4 door Mazda 3s, and I am loving the drive. I find myself looking forward to driving to and from work because the drive is smooth and effortless. My Mazda 3s has such a luxurious inside and out that it has been compared to some models of Lexus and BMW. For someone that is on a tight budget, I couldnt ask for a better car.

Mazda3 Touring Value Manual 5 speed - 2009 Mazda Mazda3

I narrowed it down to a Malibu and a Corolla Sport and for the money this is a much better car. I test drove a loaded Corolla Sport and figured the Mazda3 was going to be too small for me but I was wrong and it is a blast to drive! I got the six speaker six CD disc that would cost an extra grand with the Corolla and this car has ABS and traction control. I recommend this car to anyone.
