Overview & Reviews
Mazda has a tradition of building entertaining small cars, and the Mazda 3 fits right in with its sharp handling and engaging nature. But it's also a practical, affordable runabout that's available as either a sedan or a handy four-door hatchback. A Mazda 3 of any vintage is worth consideration, but the 3's interior quality has improved dramatically over time. Likewise, fuel economy has emerged as a real strength in recent years.
Introduced in 2004, the Mazda 3 has always been one of those cars that feels a little bit special when you get behind the wheel. Some shoppers might find the ride too firm, but if you like to drive, you'll probably take a shine to this compact Mazda. Passenger room is the same in the sedan and hatchback, but the latter offers more cargo room. If fuel economy is a priority, note that 2012 and later models benefit from updated engine technology that helps the car return significantly better mileage.

Fun ride! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By Cindy C. - August 19 - 10:50 pmI needed something more fuel efficient than what I was in---- looked at this car and knew it was what I was looking for. Actually left the dealer two times to keep looking, but knew Id be back. Buying a brand new car was not in my plans, but I am so glad I didnt talk myself out of it. I was looking for something sporty, yet fuel efficient, and fun to drive. I think I got all this and more with this car. I thoroughly enjoy driving it. It really is a great little car. Plenty of room for groceries in the hatchback area, and the sound system is pretty decent. Im very happy with my purchase....

Put This on Your Short List - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By garfield3d - August 18 - 6:34 amIn short, its a lot of fun to drive. There are definitely other cars that have more power and finer materials. However, youll have to pay more money to reach into that pot of gold. And, regardless of price range, few cars can handle the nimbleness of a Mazda 3. If you dont care about your driving experience, a Civic or a Corolla might be better. But, for anyone who likes to drive for fun, this car should definitely be on your list.

Buy of the Century - 2004 Mazda Mazda3
By BByron - August 14 - 10:00 amI bought a fully equipted 4drS in lieu of the Mini Cooper I lusted after for years. This little 3 just fits, Im 63". It looks great, handles like a dream, rides very comfortably, turns tighter than the Mini and has a longer wheel base than my old Mazda 626. It runs on regular fuel and is just plain fun to drive. It has all the features of cars two or three times its cost. I have GPS navigation and its both fun and practical. The Mini was fun but try hitting a speed hump at the posted limit and youll take the 3 as your daily driver. Fun and practical and cheap. Hard to beat.

cup of tea - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By bl fong - August 14 - 5:30 amGreat handling, excellent brakes. Steering feel excellent -- you steer, it turns! Very good ride even with 50 series tires. No ABS brakes, excellent modulation. I got the auto transmission; spouse request. Very good from a stoplight. Seats and steering wheel infinitely adjustable and comfortable. Stereo 6 CD changer very nice. very little brake dust on wheels. Glove box huge! My golf clubs will fit in back. Rear seats tight -- exit/egress lacking. I would buy again!
