  • Best mini van I ever owened! - 2004 Mazda MPV

I bought this all most new it had 6000 miles on it. I have 230,000 miles on it. The miles were split between stop and go and highway miles. I have only had minor things brake like the drivers side window motor. I have had nothing mojor, knock on wood.

  • Solid Family Hauler - 2004 Mazda MPV

Wow, I am driving a minivan, my previous vehicle was a 2000 Maxima. But, with the addition of one son in 2000 and another in 2002, and a wife who feels we need to bring everything including the kitchen sink along on outings a minivan was needed. Compared every minivan offering at the time plus SUVs. The MPVs balance of handling, power, comfort, space and style sold me and my wife. It is also a capbale hauler. I can tow my 16 feet boat (have towing pak), kids, dog and cargo, and still feel I have enough power and space. Overall love this van and would buy another.

  • Transmission quirks - 2004 Mazda MPV

Van is excellent except for the transmission. It jerks shifting from 2nd to 3rd especially on a stop and go traffic. Brakes are noisy first thing in the morning, disappears after it warms up. Had the TCM reflashed 3 times to correct the transmission jerk to no avail until second dealer replaced it with a brand new TCM. Still jerks a little bit but not as pronounced. Have to learn to live with it. But will go back to Toyota or Honda next time.

  • Excellent minivan - 2004 Mazda MPV

Purchased this 04 about a month ago. Have put 2000 miles on with a recent 1000 mile trip. Good comfort for all 5 passengers. Averaged 23.5 mpg fully loaded with roof cargo carrier in place. This was at speeds between 70-75 mph in some headwinds on the return trip. A more refined van than our Grand Caravan; it does have a little less interior space. Excellent drivetrain and much better ride and interior noise levels. The fold into the floor rear seat is great.

  • Great Minivan - 2004 Mazda MPV

Great Minivan and Great Deal !. Fits in my small garage. Great ride and exterior. Fantastic interior. Smooth engine and transmission. Got mine with plus and 4 seasons packages for around 20K (incl. TTL). A generous trade-in allowance was an added plus. I might be a dad now, but I still got some "zoom- zoom" in me :-)

  • Best Minivan for the money! - 2004 Mazda MPV
    By -

This has been a rock solid minivan. The car has performed wonderfully without even the slightest repair. We have enjoyed the front wheel drive and traction control as its handling has been great in the snow and ice. The van has been terrific on trips and is comfortable enough to drive from Washington DC to Orlando Florida in a non-stop drive with the children. Ours is equipped with the factory DVD option so that helps on those 15 hour drives. Overall we love this van and it has been very reliable!

  • Best All around - 2004 Mazda MPV

The MPV is a great value for mini-van. I wanted something that wasnt big and bulky and drove like a car yet had the seating capacity of a van. I found just that in the MPV. Each day I drive it I like it even more/

  • MY JUST RIGHT SIZED MPV - 2004 Mazda MPV
    By -

I love driving my MPV. The gas milage is good and it handles like a car. Compared to similar SUVs the MPV has more cargo space and better gas milage. It has better cargo space than similar Wagons. The cost was thousands less than the competing Mini-vans.

  • Nice mini - 2004 Mazda MPV

Has the fold down 3rd row seat, that the at the time we bought, was only offered by Honda. It was the only minivan where the windows in the sliding doors go down. Smaller size make it more car like to drive.
