Overview & Reviews
The MPV gets a facelift for 2004 that includes a new hood, headlamps, front fenders, grille, side skirts and alloy wheels. A rear air conditioner and four-wheel disc brakes are now standard.
- Compact and maneuverable, confident road manners, roll-down windows in the sliding doors.

Well Done! - 2004 Mazda MPV
By Scott Hanlon - March 19 - 2:00 amThis is our 2nd MPV, we had the 2000 model. Our decision to stay with the Mazda product was because of the reliabilty of our previous van and the upgrades to the 2004 model. We had no problems with the 2000 model, only usual wear and tear and we averaged over 20k a year. The cost for the 2004 model was comparable to the other dealerships vans, so we stayed with the Mazda family. We are not against the other dealerships, so there is no bias in our sale.

Cant Beat a Mazada - 2004 Mazda MPV
By Janice Burt - March 19 - 2:00 amEver since I got my MPV I feel in love with it. The features are all wonderful and Mazada is the only van I know that the dual sliding doors have roll down windows, this is a Mazada feature. I am impressed with everything about Mazada. I have never had any problems with any of my Mazadas and I have owned 7 Mazadas This van is number one to me. I think it should be number one to you. Thank you

Great van overall - 2004 Mazda MPV
By haile - March 15 - 2:03 amI have 3 kids. This van is a perfect choice. The price to own is the best on the market. The extended warranty from Mazda up to 100,000 miles is very reasonable and it gives you peace of mind.

Lovely but not trouble-free - 2004 Mazda MPV
By val222 - January 31 - 10:00 amWe have 2003 ES model. Fun to drive and perfectly capable of hauling a family of 5 with all the cargo. Best handling and extremely goof-looking interior. Reliability is questionable - we had tranny replaced on a long trip when the car stalled on a highway at 7pm in December. Had to spend 3 days in upstate NY on our way to Florida while waiting for the replacement (at Mazdas expense). Electric doors frequently malfunction.

Picky Shopper - 2004 Mazda MPV
By LAZ - January 24 - 10:00 amThis is our 2nd MPV.Had 93 model for 10 years and been shopping, narrowing the finalists to Odysessy, Sienna, and MPV. Decided the best price/value would be the MPV and feel we made the right decision. The 04 model gets better gas mileage than our previous MPV. Rear windows is a plus and the tail gate rear seat is a winner with the kids. Went to a drive in movie and they loved this feature. Have taken one vacation trip and the handling was flawless. Read some of other consumer reports on the MPV prior to buying and found many of the negatives to be unfounded.

A Really Nice Van - 2004 Mazda MPV
By Ron - December 28 - 10:00 amWe love this van. However we did have to replace the catalytic converter at about 74,000 miles (covered under mfg. warranty). Also, had a water problem. After a rain we opened both side doors and water came gushing out. None on the carpet. Just on the running boards. Took it back to dealership. They said some flaps under the van were not fastened properly. No problems since. Dont like the shifter where it is.
