Overview & Reviews
The Lexus RX 350 is a vehicle that's comfortable in its own metal. And why wouldn't it be? This midsize luxury crossover SUV has long been a consumer favorite thanks to its plush ride, spacious interior, strong reliability record and appealing high-tech features. While the RX 350 doesn't promise much in the way of driving passion, its combination of comfort and convenience is hard to top in a five-passenger luxury crossover. It also commands lofty resale values due to that sterling Lexus reputation.
Offering either front- or all-wheel drive, the RX 350 dates back to 2007, when it was introduced as a continuation of the RX 330. It has received significant upgrades in cabin technology over the years, but a generous standard features list and excellent build quality are a given with any Lexus RX 350. Unless you need the versatility of a third-row seat, this Lexus is likely to be a compelling proposition.

Loving the ride - 2016 Lexus RX 350
By Jill - June 27 - 4:59 pmIve always wanted the Lexus RX 350. My intention was to get a 2015 with the old body style. My mind changed after I drove a new 2016!! This is truly a car of luxury. The handling is superb!! The trunk is perfect size. Back seat guests are comfortable. My only complaint is the gas mileage. I actually watch the gas tank drain down. Otherwise, its great!!

Lexus Love! - 2015 Lexus RX 350
By Mitch - June 26 - 12:32 amShop around like I did for months!.............This is the best value for a crossover Luxury high end vehicle!! The Bumper to Bumper value, feel of comfort , and "knowing you have no issues" feeling of purchasing this beautiful vehicle will give you goosebumps! I looked at Acura, Lincoln , and various Toyota SUVs ,But after driving all, researching , and using different metrics, i bought this 2015 F series 350RX.. The F series leather, the front bumper, the various F series clad chrome, and other special features will make other drivers look with awe!! Did I mention the fantastic Lexus warranty!?

Ok Car - 2007 Lexus RX 350
By Russell - June 23 - 11:50 pmWhat can I say, its a Lexus. Coming from my fingers, thats not a compliment. Im not the primary driver, but when I do I can find nothing but criticism for it. I myself am a BMW person. Id certainly rather drive my 1998 528i than this "station wagon." The suspension is horrible, there is no feel for the road -- it is very neutral and muted. Same thing for the steering wheel it is very soft with no feel whatsoever.

Luxurious but Dissapointing - 2015 Lexus RX 350
By Cynthia - June 20 - 1:48 pmI had a RX 300 and then a RX 350, 2009, both of which I loved. They drove like a car and felt like a car, but had the extra room of an SUV. A true crossover car. However, this car is bigger and feels like youre driving a boat. It drives like a large SUV, which I did not want. I cant even see over the hood very well and the seats are up as far as they can go, so now, I have an extra seat cushion. So much for the heated and air conditioned seats. The 2009 was much more comfortable. I really miss the arm rest in the 2009. I make a shake in the morning and now, the cup holders are even smaller!!! I know this is a little thing, but it only holds a water bottle, not my shaker bottle! Why? Why, Lexus, would you make this change? Very inconvenient. The navigation is really slow and painful to use, and does not respond well to voice activation. I also miss the 6 CD changer. The mouse pad is difficult to use, especially when you are driving. Also, there are no guide lines with the back up camera. My husbands new Jeep Cherokee has them, but the Lexus doesnt??? Bottom line, it feels like a full size SUV and the 2016s are even bigger. I wont buy another one of these. They had a wonderful car with the RX 300. I wish I had another one. Lexus pretty much ruined the RX 350 now. Its a shame. And the new 2016s are pretty ugly with that front end grill they have. It doesnt even look safe. Lexus, what are you thinking????

Nice upgrade from my RX 400h - 2016 Lexus RX 350
By Mel - June 17 - 3:11 pmI was very hesitant to buy the 16 model because of the huge grill but I decided I could get used to it. After a test drive I was sold. This vehicle is much, much quieter than my 2006 RX 400h. I will say that I really miss the CVT though. I opted for the Lexus Safety System and the blind spot monitor. The all-speed cruise control works great. It has taken me into freeway stop & go traffic and done fine. I really like the ability to choose the following distance (100, 130 or 160 feet) from a steering wheel mounted button. Im not as impressed with the lane centering feature so I mostly leave it off. There is a front facing camera that "sees" lane lines and will make steering wheel inputs to keep you in the lane. It feels like theres a little invisible hand on the wheel making slight wheel inputs - which may not be the ones you want to make. Its a very odd sensation. The front camera also can detect human forms over 3 feet tall and will try to avoid hitting one up to about 50 mph. I have no experience with this and hope never to test it. The front facing radar is smarter than I expected it to be. I was afraid of sudden braking when a driver moved into the buffer area between you ant the car you had been following because if you leave a 100 -160 foot buffer in front of you it will certainly happen. However when it happens the system adjusts slowly just like I would. The blind spot monitoring / cross traffic radars in the rear are equally smart and seem to give warning at a greater distance when the car in the rear is closing at a rapid rate. Backing out of a parking space is much easier now when the radar units are looking for cars & the backup camera can recognize people walking behind you & sound a warning. Overall Im very impressed with the safety systems. The new position prediction lines on the backup camera are a huge improvement over a wide angle camera with no lines line the one on the old Lexus. I also loved my old HID headlights and was very pleased to find the LED headlights gave me an equivalent amount of illumination. The 12 inch navigation screen turned out to be worth the extra money. I can set it up to split the screen to have both nav and my quick dial list showing. The joystick input device takes some getting used to but after a little use I can live with it. The voice recognition system is still poor although better than the nearly nonfunctional system on the old 06 model. I tried to get the nav system to give me guidance to an airport about 60 miles away and the best I could do while driving was to get the system to display the nearest 5 airports - none of which I wanted. I could have pressed my assist button & asked the operator to download the route into my nav system but I just waited until I was within about 20 miles and it showed up on the closest list so I could select it. The nav system does have a HUGE weakness though and that is finding a shortest route during a recalculation. You are better off stopping the car, deleting the route and starting from scratch if you want to modify the route but allow the nav to recalculate a route at the end of your modification. A Garmin GPS does a much better job of both initial routing and recalculating a route. I love the ability to receive texts while driving and having them read to me. Even better is the ability to activate my iPhone Siri from the steering wheel and having her send a text for me using only voice commands. Previously my texts went unread and unanswered until I stopped the car. My vehicle was delivered with the towing prep package. This made it incredibility easy to install a hitch I ordered from a company on the Internet. It took an extra body to help hold it up but in 20 minutes with a socket wrench I had the hitch & electrical connector installed. Im really pleased with my purchase. Some systems are excellent and others are just ok or need some improvement but overall its a very nice package.

Luxury performance and ride - 2015 Lexus RX 350

Very happy I bought the 2015 RX - 2016 Lexus RX 350
By JPV - May 2 - 11:18 amFirst, the car is ugly, I was hoping it would grow on me but I just hate it. Rear looks a little like an angry Asian man and the front looks like an old man with a bad fu man chu. If that isnt bad enough the side looks like a transformer. My 2015 is refined, quiet and has great classic lines. The 16 is, in my opinion lost between wanting to be a sports car and a station wagon. The rake on the rear window makes the cargo space way too small and difficult to see out of and the floating roof line is nissanesque. I have been a Lexus guy for about 10 years and a Toyota guy since 1995. Lexus/Toyota needs to fire their designers because the cars are just ugly. I was waiting for the new Camry to upgrade my old one and just cant do it, the design is terrible. Is that why there is a perpetual 0% interest rate on it?

Compliments my Porsche 911 - 2013 Lexus RX 350
By Bob Heilweck - April 27 - 7:40 pmI just bought a 2013 Certified RX 350 F sport with 18,000 mi. and think its a great car. I have always driven manual shift cars and this car is a nice luxury experience. I am in my early 70s and plan on this being my last car, which is why I bought a Lexus and not a German car. As far as the reviews, I dont quite understand. I have owned an early Porsche 911 for almost 25 years. This car is certainly not a Porsche, it was never intended to be. But I can hold my own on an autocross course, and I have driven this car on some curvy, decreasing radii turns requiring heavy braking, power on acceleration out of turns and weight transfer. I think this is a great car for what it is in the handling dept. Having driven Hondas for most of my life, if the quality is up to that standard (and I am sure that it is) I will be very happy.
