Model Overview:

The Lexus RX 350 is a vehicle that's comfortable in its own metal. And why wouldn't it be? This midsize luxury crossover SUV has long been a consumer favorite thanks to its plush ride, spacious interior, strong reliability record and appealing high-tech features. While the RX 350 doesn't promise much in the way of driving passion, its combination of comfort and convenience is hard to top in a five-passenger luxury crossover. It also commands lofty resale values due to that sterling Lexus reputation.

Offering either front- or all-wheel drive, the RX 350 dates back to 2007, when it was introduced as a continuation of the RX 330. It has received significant upgrades in cabin technology over the years, but a generous standard features list and excellent build quality are a given with any Lexus RX 350. Unless you need the versatility of a third-row seat, this Lexus is likely to be a compelling proposition.

I cannot begin to tell you how much we love this car. This is the 3rd Lexus in a row. First was a very fast/fun/reliable SC, (lasted to about 350,000 miles and still running) 2nd was an RX300 (not quite as reliable, but good enough I guess - traded at 194,000) This one though, is still better than both previous - only things added were trailer hitch, trailer lighting cord ("factory," just plugged it in to a provided and conveniently located chassis harness). "GADGETS" all seem to work wonderfully and its packed with gadgets. Wonderful comfortable ride.

Rather than detail all my Lexus woes, which the dealership has tried and sometimes succeeded in fixing, I can just say that this 2008 RX350 is the noisiest car I have had. There is a persistent rattle in the rear passenger window that looks like it is caused by a faulty window assembly. The bumper rattles when turning. The car has been through a bit -- as a car in NYC is wont to be -- but the quality problems have been very disappointing for a car with a stellar reputation.

  • Excellent except..... - 2016 Lexus RX 350

The exterior of the car is beautiful. Hip and aggressive. Interior is rich and beautiful. Attention to details is evident. Safety features are great and affordable. Fuel economy is so so. Great value compared to Benz and Audi. My only gripe is with the fake and loud exhaust noise in the cabin and uncomfortable front driver seat. I bought the car for its comfort and quietness reputation. Unfortunately the new RX350 does not deliver either well. Spend some more and get an Audi :(

  • Nice vehicle, but overpriced for size. - 2007 Lexus RX 350

After selling our 01 RX 300, we leased an 07 RX 350 awd. Nice, classy looks with good comfort. Handling is improved with less body roll. Cabin is quiet, controls are easy to reach. Acceleration is very good and smooth. Like the 18" alloys, but low profile tires give up a little ride quality. Gas mileage has been poor. Averaged 20-23 with 3.0 and only getting 18-19 with 3.3. With few dealers, prices arent as negotiable. Nice vehicle, but overpriced imo by 4-$6000.

  • Great ride....Poor Instrumentation - 2017 Lexus RX 350

The ride is great and the interior is quite comfortable. Luggage/Cargo space is minimal. The instrumentation with its many switches are scattered about and some are difficult to read without their display lighting on. Some software features do not work and Ive been waiting over 2 weeks for their telephone support to fix the issue. I understand Im not the only one with software issues. Their support personal are not very technically savvy with different answers to the same question. Acceleration is not very quick with a noticeable hesitation. Would probably have purchased another Audi knowing what I know now. Lexus has tried offer a high tech car, but, cant get them all to work and then their support is inadequate.

  • Top-Knotch with Annoyances - 2010 Lexus RX 350

I traded in a 2007 RX AWD for this and kind of regret spending the extra 20K. The vehicle is a great car but it has some very annoying features that prevent me from loving it. #1-Gas mileage. Rated 18/25 (21 combined),all I can say is in your dreams. My 2007 AWD did better. After 5 months, 80% local, 20% HWY Im AVERAGING 16.9, not even close to the min 18 mpg local only expected. #2-When car is first started I hear a persistent louder-than-valve- tap knock that disappears in time (5 min+). Will find out what it is at 5K checkup soon. #3-rain sensing wipers with no override for true intermittent wiper. Theyll run at top speed in a drizzle. Cant beat a Lexus but this is my 6th and least fav.

  • Beautiful car and comfortable - 2007 Lexus RX 350

Its a beautiful car and very comfortable to drive. It equipped with everything with quality built-in you can not get from other car manufacturers. Ive just had it for one month and average gas mileage is around 22 mpg. You can get the power when you needed. I think the gas mileage is pretty good for a V-6 (AWD).

Had a 2010 RX. This is a lot more car and the technology is fantastic.

  • Transmission Slips at 25,000 miles - 2009 Lexus RX 350
    By -

i bought this car as a cpo 9 months ago. 17000 miles on it. The transmission slips. when I slow down like to turn or in traffic and then step back on the gas, the car revs but its like its in neutral, then I hear a thump and it lurches forward. Or it will shudder for a second, then thud and lurch forward. I have been to the dealership 2x already. they say there is nothing wrong, this is how the car is designed to drive. A car this expensive should not drive like this. I called Lexus and I am awaiting a response back.
