Model Overview:

The Lexus RX 350 is a vehicle that's comfortable in its own metal. And why wouldn't it be? This midsize luxury crossover SUV has long been a consumer favorite thanks to its plush ride, spacious interior, strong reliability record and appealing high-tech features. While the RX 350 doesn't promise much in the way of driving passion, its combination of comfort and convenience is hard to top in a five-passenger luxury crossover. It also commands lofty resale values due to that sterling Lexus reputation.

Offering either front- or all-wheel drive, the RX 350 dates back to 2007, when it was introduced as a continuation of the RX 330. It has received significant upgrades in cabin technology over the years, but a generous standard features list and excellent build quality are a given with any Lexus RX 350. Unless you need the versatility of a third-row seat, this Lexus is likely to be a compelling proposition.

  • Great All-Around SUV - 2008 Lexus RX 350

I recently purchased a new RX 350. I have been very happy so far! I go through about 35k miles a year, so comfort and quality are my biggest concerns and this vehicle meets these with no problems at all. I trade out about every year and this is by-far the most enjoyable midsize SUV that I have owned. And I have driven everything from Toyota to BMW to Honda. There are a few weird things could be changed but not every vehicle is perfect. Great choice for a comfortable and stylish ride and perfect for sales!

  • Annoying rattling noise - 2010 Lexus RX 350
    By -

I thought I am the only one, but I have to agree with the review written by mml on 08/10/2009. I also noticed a very annoying rattling noise from the driver side seat belt buckle area. I brought the car to the dealership but cannot duplicate it. I really hate it because the problem comes and goes. We need more people to report this problem and have this problem recalled by Lexus. It seems that RX350 is now a mass produced car and the build quality doesnt live up to the hype. A bit disappointing.

  • Wish I didnt buy a Lexus - 2007 Lexus RX 350

2007 RX 350 loaded. Traded down from a BMW X5 3.0 with 125,000 miles. I thought buying a Lexus would be a good choice since my BMW had a ton of miles on it and the Lexus was much cheaper. The saying is true, you get what you pay for. Ive owned the Lexus for 3 weeks, 4 times in the shop. First a mirror, then the bluetooth (X2), and then the drivers seat. I weigh about 180 lbs (so its not me). This car is slow and sloppy. I will be trading it in as soon as get a little equity built up. Very disappointed.

  • A Completely Different RX - 2017 Lexus RX 350
    By -

Disclaimer - I apologize for one, long paragraph (I cant get the character return to work in the Edmunds review no matter how hard I try!). While I dont want to discount other peoples experiences, I am trying to understand some of the criticism of this car. We previously leased a 2015 RX; when the dealer provided us with a 2016 loaner for a few days, we used the opportunity for the ultimate test drive. Our decision was easy - as much as we loved the refinement of the third generation RX, the fourth generation provided a more rugged durability that makes it an "everyday" car rather than a "night on the town" car. We have driven our 2017 RX for three months, and have put it through every type of driving condition except snow - in-city, suburban, freeway, winding two-lane highway, rain (lots of that here in the Pacific Northwest). We have hauled around three adult passengers for extended periods. Each time, the vehicle has performed well, and everyone has commented on their comfort. I have carefully listened for engine vibration that so many other owners have mentioned between 1,500 and 2,000 RPM, and I just dont hear it. The car is certainly "throatier" than the previous RX, but I expected that to come with the edgier, sportier handling that was lacking. At speed, this RX is just as silent but handles better and provides better viewing angles from the drivers seat. My partner recently said, "I thought Id miss our old car, but I dont." Neither do I. PROS: safety technology, cabin comfort, interior quiet, panoramic moonroof (option), Mark Levinson sound system (option), increased handling, automation (parking brake, seat heat/cool, lights, wipers). CONS: outdated infotainment operating technology, intermittent buzzing/humming near glovebox that can only be heard near idle and with stereo off/low, wiper blades cannot be accessed, less rear cargo room

  • Great Ride - 2007 Lexus RX 350
    By -

Great SUV, RX has come a long way,but the original series was a much better handling for urban driving. Have a 2015 and its great but not as nimble as the older models. Recommend RX. Its so dependable and Dealers are excellent. Gas mileage is a not as good as some others in the same price range. Hopefully. Lexus IS working on this limitation. RXs perform much better on premium fuel. Gas mileage is not changed much but the performance is much improved.

  • Great vehicle with only a few complaints - 2013 Lexus RX 350
    By -

The 2013 has made subtle changes from the 12 model but the changes are noticeable. The front of the car looks great now and unfortunately those with the 2012 model look outdated and antiquated next to it. The interior is clean, modern, and sleek without goddy ornamentation and flare. Its a luxurious car without looking ostentatious. The ride is smooth and you cant hear the wind outside going 70mph down the highway. The technology is a win, Ive driven Mercedes (2011), Jeep (2012), BMW (2006), and so on... none of them come close to the Lexus for tech. Pandora is a huge plus.

  • Small touches - 2017 Lexus RX 350
    By -

Missing drivers cup holder. Storage under center console. Could use passenger dash tray. No audible lane change alarm. No engine shut off at stop. Bad phone compartment, strange.should be no charge for phone app.

  • Disapointed - 2016 Lexus RX 350
    By -

This car is not as Refined as the past RX SUV. The Shifting is rough and the 8 speed Tranny is very Rough ,it seems like it is not sure sometime between 7 and 8. I think they should remap the Trans. I finally just use manual and use #7 and that stops all the up and back shifting for now. The engine is Very Loud and I hate that.I I really think Lexus should give is some help with these things. My Truck rides 100% better and quit too.

  • Very happy with lexus rx350 - 2008 Lexus RX 350
    By -

I have been in my rx350 for almost 3 years and have been very pleased with it. It is sporty, reliable, and luxurious all at once. It has plenty of room for the things I need to haul around as an interior decorator or to take a family vacation. Front and rear seats are both very comfortable. Only minor complaints are acceleration is a bit jumpy and there is a slight blind spot when backing up (resulting in a little fender bender!)

  • Absolutely adore my car - 2007 Lexus RX 350
    By -

I absolutely adore this car. If feeling like royalty is what you want, then this car is it. It may not have the horsepower that other SUVs have, but Lexus is known not for power, but great interior and reliability. Ive only had this car for 2 months, and Im so happy! The nav is a little complicated, but very helpful. The voice recognition doesnt work very well, but I dont know of any cars with good voice recognition. I wouldnt suggest using the bluetooth with your cell phone; it is not very clear and I find myself hunched over and screaming at the steering wheel to be heard.
