For 2003, 17-inch wheels are standard, replacing the 16-inchers. The climate control front seats and park-assist feature, formerly included only with the Ultra Luxury or Custom Luxury packages, are now available as stand-alone options. Finally, base cars ordered with the climate control front seats now feature perforated leather trim throughout.
- Superb ride quality, impressive array of standard and optional luxury features, top-notch interior materials, Lexus reliability.
- Not quite as athletic as its competitors, adding options raises the price to un-Lexuslike levels.

When we were looking for a new car back in the 90s I asked the manager of our parking fields, some cars valet parked, what car he would buy after having experience with every car on the market for 40 years he told me LEXUS. New LS 430 - 2003 Lexus LS 430

We have a 2002 MB S500 and there is no comparison especially on a road trip. The S500 is so poor ergonomically and the seats are so uncomfortable that I feel sure we will be rid of it fairly soon. It also spends way too much time in the shop compared to a Lexus. It is a better looking car---but who cares?

Buy again.. after 200k more mile - 2003 Lexus LS 430
By Great car! - May 26 - 9:40 pmThe only thing this car needs is 4 wheel drive. Otherwise, this car has everything you could possibly want. This is my second Lexus (LS 400). I bought both used. This one I bought for 22k and 60,000 miles. It will easily last to 200k and only go into shop for routine maintance.

Lexus - a dependable automobile - 2003 Lexus LS 430
By gaz - February 28 - 10:00 amThe Lexus LS430 is a very dependable and economical vehicle to operate. Although not as eye pleasing as my former Lexus LS 400, the ride is much more exciting and more similar to the Mercedes. I have owned and operated this vehicle approximately 1.5 years without any problems. My only complaint is the LS400 doesnt look that different from the Toyota Avalon which is less than half the price.
