  • Outstanding, Made in USA ~ Sorento - 2011 Kia Sorento

Weve had five Kias in my family and our new 2011 is the latest. Nothing compares to the value and quality of this vehicle. The standard ABS, Stability and Traction control, the six speed A/T and the power of the 175 HP 4cyl engine, make it an even a better value! The standard roadside assistance (5yr/60k) make it a great choice for my wife to drive...

  • A Real Honda Pilot Beater - 2011 Kia Sorento

We recently purchased a new 2011 Kia Sorento EX with V6 and leather, navi, panoramic sunroof, etc. I did a good deal of research and test drove a Santa Fe, a CRV, a Pilot, a Murano and a Ford Escape. The Sorento offered more value/features for a lower price than any of the vehicles I seriously considered. In the few weeks we have owned the vehicle, it has proven to be great. We are very happy with it. We have owned 6 Honda Accords (we still have one) so I was disposed at the outset to buy a Honda product. Kia simply offered more features, better warranty and a good design (from my subjective perspective)at a lower price.

  • Love my Kia Sorento - 2011 Kia Sorento

I have owned SUVs for nearly 20 years; my last was a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which had nice amenities. Though my Sorento lacks some of those things, it makes up for it with the back-up camera and the remote start. Two very nice features. My Sorento is awesome; the interior is nice, it rides well and is beautiful. It gets far better gas mileage than my Jeep. The dealership, Carolina Kia, was absolutely the best to deal with in the triad. I would buy another Kia, but only from them. Whenever I am asked about my Sorento; I say I love it!

I Inherited this car from My Aunt who Died in October, she got it new and she loved it and I love it now. It is very fun to drive for a crossover and handles great in the snow even with the factory tires. Gas mileage isnt that good but its winter, I am averaging 20 mpg. I like the Dark Cherry exterior as well. The Heated seats are a great value from the convenience package. The ride may be harsh but its not terrible. The interior is pretty quiet too, almost like my 2013 Toyota Highlander. The steering is better than the Highlanders too.

  • I must have got a bad one. Fully loaded SX - 2011 Kia Sorento

It is now 2015 I Bought this brand new and it is still giving me problems. 2011 Sorento SX Burgundy, Pan moon roof, nav ....the top model for the year. First day got home wouldnt start. Has had so many recalls and issues such as. Backup camera blacked out. Power died when driving. The suspension was off. The moon roof creaked badly. The alternator died. And even now the latest issue is when I get out and close the doors the sensors say that the doors are not closed. And that somehow makes the car go dead. I have to unhook the battery to get car to start. Im not even mention all the issues. I have been trying to live with this purchase until the best time to move on. The Best thing is that the dealer ship has been easy to work with. But I will not buy a Kia again, afraid of being lured by the amenities and being burned later, by a unreliable car. And my car still has the new car smell!

I love the satellite radio, the Bluetooth so I can answer my phone or make calls by name or number, speaking to the car. Manual 6 speed or auto is fine. Up and down hill support is good too. Seat heaters and sunglasses holder is a great thing to have too.

  • Happy So Far - 2011 Kia Sorento

Ive had my Sorento LX V6 AWD since 10/2010, aside from 2 minor recalls (which is not a bad thing), things have been good. Had a jerking/banging issue when truck started which was due to a transmission update which the dealer mechanic reset to factory specs, now everythign is fine. Kuhmo tires are ok. A little scared hearing the horror stories since I only have 10K miles on it, but, only time will tell.

  • Are they using rubber in the tires? - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

Dont get scammed by the cheap tires. Okay, frustration has set in. An online Kia survey and a call to my Kia dealership regarding the lack of traction have fallen on deaf ears. Well this morning my wife lost traction and caused an accident. For those thinking that the tires are probably bald.....the vehicle just hit 3000 miles. Finally ready for its 1st oil change. Just got off the phone with the dealership again and they said "well take a look at them when you bring it in for the oil change." Use this information for your own good.

  • Great so far - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

We were hooked on this car after test driving it and comparing it to the Toyota Highlander. The Highlander drives like a boat and is similar to the minivan we had. The Sorento was just really fun to drive. Weve had it for a week now, and no problems so far. No rattles or strange noises or any other problems whatsoever. Very minimal wind noise at high speeds. Suspension is stiff and there is some tire noise depending on the road surface. Hope it continues to meet our expectations.
