The Sorento is an all-new SUV from Kia. Larger and more powerful than the pint-size Sportage (which is expected to return for 2004 after a 2003 hiatus, by the way), the Sorento straddles the emerging middle ground between small SUVs and midsize SUVs. And it does so while offering interested buyers true off-road ability. Key competitors are the Ford Escape, the Honda CR-V, the Jeep Liberty, the Nissan Xterra and the Toyota Highlander.

  Great car! It fits me better than any other vehicle Ive sat in for at least 5 years. I only have 300 miles on it so the performance is still unknown; Im still taking it easy on the engine. The ride quality is not as good as it could be because the shocks are wimpy. They are easy to change though. I like the cars looks but wish it had more cargo room.

  Excellent car! I have owned many four-wheel or all-wheel drive cars including an Audi A6. This is by far the best car I have owned. Reasonably priced and so much for the money. This vehicle is built on a medium duty truck chassis that the sell in Korea. Great off-road as well. Solid!

  I love it. Its great to drive. Both my wife and I love to just ride around in it. All the extra storage is great. The built in garage door opener is great.

  This car gives you the best bang for your bucks!! We have been looking for a SUV for awhile now.. We test drove a Highlander, CRV, Forrester and Jeep Liberty. But they dont impress us enough. We have never heard of KIA Sorento until we walked into the dealership one day, just to look at the lots and see what they have. We met this excellent sales guy and he convinced us that Sorento is truely an amazing mid-SUV in the market right now. We check it out, test drove it... went home and did more research on the internet... we went back the next day and bought it. :D

  My wife and I decided to change our small but elegant 147 Alfa Romeo into a big SUV. There were 3 reasons for that: 1.We have a young white shepard dog for whome we try to prevent a double hernia. 2.We go quite often to Finland and specially Lapland, where a B-road is really still a B road, most good rally drivers are from Finland. 3. From the 1st of may im on pension so I got this "huge toy car". Its a fantastic mixture of goodwilling and controllable power, topped of with a great luxury for the passengers, including "Lumi" our white emperor.

  I owned a Kia Spectra before and it protected me in a serious accident. This truck is very sharp looking, I get comments about it all the time. Very roomy inside, lots of extra features. The clock doesnt work right but the dealer already knows. The car is a little skittish on wet roads.

  My mechanic husband had two requests when I purchased my new car - no V6s and no SUVs. Anything else was fine. Researched lots of cars on the web and found the KIA Optima, but at the dealership, fell in love with the Sorento. Once I drove it, I would have no other. The Sorentos power, performance, handling and features has won over the hubby. Weve taken it on two major trips this year where strangers constantly approached us asking about the Sorento. Ive recommended it to so many people, KIA should pay me!
