The Sorento is an all-new SUV from Kia. Larger and more powerful than the pint-size Sportage (which is expected to return for 2004 after a 2003 hiatus, by the way), the Sorento straddles the emerging middle ground between small SUVs and midsize SUVs. And it does so while offering interested buyers true off-road ability. Key competitors are the Ford Escape, the Honda CR-V, the Jeep Liberty, the Nissan Xterra and the Toyota Highlander.

  Who knew you could love a Kia? - 2003 Kia Sorento

  I must say, we almost did not even look at the Sorrento, simply because it is a Kia. We were going to shop for a late model 4 Runner or Pathfinder. This car is wonderful!! We actually found a "used" Sorrento with 4k miles on it and its got EVERYTHING! All the aftermarket goodies, tow pkg, luxury pkg, step sides. I really am so happy with this purchase, and the 10yr/100k mile warranty that comes with it so I know I can keep it for many years to come. Also see if you can swing an aftermarket leather package into your deal, it makes the seats feel like Lazy Boy recliners! I highly recommend the Sorrento, I would, without a doubt, buy this SUV again!!

  I HAD BEEN SHOPPING FOR A JEEP OR TOYOTA HIGHLANDER. I BOUGHT A KIA SORENTO EX, AND HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED 6 DAYS LATER FROM MY GARAGE TO THE DEALERSIP FOR REPAIR. IT WOULD NOT START. IT HAD 260 MILES ON IT. IT IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, AND WILL BE IN THE SHOP FOR 4 DAYS WHILE WE WAIT FOR A PART TO COME IN. IM NOT SURE I MADE THE RIGHT DECISION ON BUYING THE KIA.

  Inexpensive Luxury - 2003 Kia Sorento

  You must test a Kia sorento , if your looking for a midsize SUV. I am driving a 2wd EX w/luxury package. I was looking to drive a 4wd, but this was the interior and amenities I wanted. Handles with ease. Very comfortable, everything at your finger tips. Would you like a luxury vehicle?..and a Truck?.. This is it !!!

  What I did before I purchased the KIA - 2003 Kia Sorento

  I spent many hours on the internet checking out all the SUVs in this segment. What I found was that you would have to spend 10 to 20 thousand more to get the same features. I have had mine for two weeks and in snow. The Sorento performed as expected and with KIAs drive it and forget it 10 year 100000 mile warrenty there is nothing to loose. The buying experience with HART MOTORS in Salem VA was so good and fast that it took longer to get the Sorento out of the showroom than it did to the paper work. I am very happy with my purchase.

  Yes, I ended up getting the gas guzzler Sorento because it looks beautiful. Hell, I look outside at my driveway where it is parked at least 10 times a day because it looks so beautiful. I find myself driving down the highway saying "thats an ugly SUV compared to ours." I know . . horrible. But when you see this car and its elevation (clearance), huge tires, standard features, and warranty you just cant walk away. Hell, it could drive like crap and I would forgive it, but as a matter a fact it rides very smooth all things considered.

  Styling and design is excellent, my wife loves it. Very comfortable and handles and drives great. Good performance, of course mileage is not that great. I dont know what these folks (CU, others) are driving when they say that the ride is too rough, truck-like, mine is certainly not. Check engine light came on at 100 miles, dealer quickly fixed. Nice job overall. Everyone is very impressed by it, especially when they ride in it.

  I absolutely LOVE my new Kia Sorento! I bought it back in mid-March of 2003 & I’ve already put 4,880 miles on it! This was my very first brand-new car and the day I test-drove it for the first time, I knew I just had to have it! I was looking at other sporty- sedans for $5K+ more than the Sorento and I couldn’t justify purchasing a smaller car for more money! The gas mileage isnt too horrible. Ive been getting 18-20mpg on average which suits me just fine. Overall, I feel like I got a great deal for mine (EX 2WD) and am very pleased with my decision!

  The first time I test drove the Kia Sorento I fell in love it has wonderful performance and Its Fun to Drive. The only downfall is the Gas mileage but the Power is there. Its actually looks better than a Lexus RX 300 take the 2 side by side and the KIA takes all the attention away!!!!:)I strongly recommend the KIA SORENTO to SUV lovers.

  I love my Kia Sorento. Its very comfortable to ride in and there is alot of passager room. The Sorento has plenty of storage compartments. The seats make long rides enjoyable. My best friend bought a Ford Escape the day before I bought my suv and it has been in the auto shop 3 times already. I really love my Kia Sorento.
