  • Good Bang for the Buck - 2011 Kia Sorento

We bought our Sorento in September and have 4K miles on it. We were impressed initially with the features that came standard and were won over by the options added that made it more affordable comparatively speaking to the Honda CR-V and Toyata Rav4. Power is a little something to be desired but not horrific by any standard for small 4 even when loaded with the family. The interior features are well designed except and the seats are comfortable and roomy in the front and spacious as well in the back. The biggest issue I would have is the noise and ride from the suspension. Ive heard that the newer versions have dampers and Ill chekc with my dealer concerning that. A great buy!

Drove 300 mi. trip to Palm Springs,CA. got 22 mpg. No cmplaints. Car does have a firm ride and does have cabin noise over rougher paved fwys. Thanks for the great sound system. Kind of a learning curve re: remembering all the voice commands that you need to know for radio, bluetooth, nav, etc. No problem with sunroof wind noise or pulling to the right some owners have experienced. Looked at Edge and Murono simirally equip., they were 6-7K more. Didnt need the 3rd seat, but no option with the EX/SX models. This is my 4th Kia and have had pretty good luck with all of them, thanks to the 5 yr. 60K warranty. looking forward to see how the AWD lockup will work on ice and snow roads in Big Bear

  • No more minivan! - 2011 Kia Sorento

I loved my PAID FOR 03 Chrysler T&C, but after the 2nd accident (not my fault), husband insisted on new vehicle for us (2 young kids). I needed 3rd row - we carry extra kids at times, but didnt need cargo space for strollers and giant kid carseats any longer. Hubby fanatical about safety features. We tested EVERYTHING - even new Odyssey and Swagger wagon (Sienna), Acadia, Traverse (all too big). Sorento just the right size! City MPG 22-23, hwy about 25-26 so far. Kids LOVE IT! Will be taking 1500 mile road trip next week. Looking forward to it.

I purchased my 2011 Sorento LX back in March & LOVE IT! It is so quiet and rides so smooth. Everyone thats seen my vehicle wants one now. The look of it is nice, space is great inside (even with my 3rd row of seats) and its just an overall great vehicle. I traded my 2007 Sorento in fort this one and dont regret it one bit! Oh and I have over 5300 miles on it already!

  • Chose it over a Honda CR-V - 2011 Kia Sorento

Traded my 2008 Honda S2000 for KIA Ex V6 with Navigation, leather and sunroof. We also own a 2007 KIA V6 Sportage. In 2.5 years this car has never had maintenance issues. The 2011 Kia Sorento drives REALLY good, nice pep, corners well, and a really good sound system. The Navigation works well, better then the portable ones. The blue-tooth I dont know how I have lived without it. 3rd row seats I can do without. Nice leather on the seats but the quality of the plastics on the Interior could get better but is better then the CR_V. Dont know much about the gas mileage yet, I have only put 120 miles on it. My only complaints is that it tends to turn when the road is not level.

  • Just 2 weeks - 2011 Kia Sorento

I went in to decide between a Kia Sorento and the Hyundai Santa FE. I had owned each one so I assumed it would not be hard. Recently owning a C-class Benz an suffering from premium gas and mileage. I had wanted to see what Kia had to offer on the 2011 Sorento and was immediately sold after test drive. The gas and the design in and out satisfied my need. It has been two weeks and heads are still turning. I have never had a 4 cyl and was surprised at the pick up. I am on the highway everyday averaging 55 miles round trip and DC has the worst roads. Will keep consumers updated. So far I am very pleased.

Ok..I got rid of a 03 Kia Sedona that was literaly falling apart as we drove down the road. We decided to buy a middle of the road 11 Kia Sorento since the price was 10k less than comparable SUV. SO, biting the bullet and thinking that KIA, after years of bad press and horrible customer satisfaction would IMPROVE quality when they built 11 Sorento in GA., we were shot point blank. Car has driven 250 miles and the car needs back rotors replaced, front realignment due to a hard right pull and an alternator recall service, this is after two recalls. To top it off, the airbag module box on the front passenger dash creates an outline through the dash covering. Warranty may fix but this is bad!

  • Disappointed - 2011 Kia Sorento

Its been 3 months since my unfortunate purchase. Vehicle shimmies on first morning start up. Burning smell in cabin -interior lighting shuts off by itself -Electrical problems in general. Bad customer service. I thought $45,000 would go further than 5000km. I guess not by Kia standards. Service manager said the shimmy on morning start up was "the natural characteristics of the vehicle" Like that was going to make me feel better. I havent even mansion the loud undercarriage noise when you hit small bumps. In short, I took my chance with Kia and lost miserably

  • Not bad - 2011 Kia Sorento

I like the interior space, the handling and the filtered cabin air. We just did our first trip with the KIA sorento 4 cylinder FWD automatic. It is rough riding compared to our Chrysler town and country. I am really disappointed with the gas mileage. It claims to get 29 mpg (4 cylinder FWD) but I only averaged 25mpg on our trip. I used cruise control and was on 4 lane highways all the way (508 miles). With All my other cars I got 2 or 3 mpg more than the window sticker. Perhaps the EPA estimates have been "readjusted".

  • Love my Sorento - 2011 Kia Sorento

Great SUV with lots of comfort and room. Got it for a low 19,000! Took it on a 400 mile trip and was thrilled to average 29.2 miles per gallon. Im getting about 25.5 in the city so Im very happy. I wanted a comfortable car for family trips that would get good gas mileage and Ive found it! I have the 4 cylinder and am fine with the amount of power it has.
