All in all this car was very nicely finished. My only complaint would be the steering wheel, which looks kinda awkward. Besides that this car is ideal.

Overall Im very happy with the car itself. However I wish I bought the V8 instead of the V6. The engine feels underpowered since the engine has to work very hard to get the 2200 kg weight moving in city driving. Cruising on the highway the engine works better, so long you dont climb any hills. The 5 speed auto trans mission is geared to high. Need at least 6 gears to make driving more fun. Gas consumption was good at first but now after 12000 miles/19000 km my consumption is 20 City and 23highway.

  • love the new jeep, but - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I bought a new JGC in May 2011, the limited version with the hemi. Love the look of the new jeep inside and out. fun to drive with the power of the hemi. Have had one problem with it so far. went out to start it the other morning and it was completely dead. called roadside assist and they came out and jumped started it. but then all the warning lights stayed on and the gauges did not work. took it to the dealership and they told me your not supposed to jump start the new jeeps because they have a AGM battery in them. it turns out when they jumped it a computer modele was fried. not sure why it went dead in the first place, waiting to see if it happens again.

Traded in Gl350 Blue Tec for this and glad I did. Much better all around. Gas mileage isnt bad, but my GL got 26 and is a much bigger car.

Bought it last week and very happy. Took it from Florida to Virginia and had ample passing power on the highway and performed flawlessly in the Mountains. Seats are very supportive and comfortable. Its hard to believe this is a body-on frame SUV telling by the ride.

I have never owned a better vehicle, simply because there isnt. Went out and test drove G55 AMG, LR4, Land Cruiser, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport. Non-of them were civilized on road and lacked true-off road capability, particularly the LR4. Almost jumped on the Benz when I drove by the jeep dealer. There it was, sitting up high on display. Did a U- turn and drove in with a Lexus Gx 460 and drove out with the jeep. It may lack the prestige, but was by far the most car-like on road and capable off. Its also nice to be driving American.

  • Looks nice, rides nice, BUT... - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Have had for 1.5 yrs. Love the look, interiors and ride. Just back from a roadtrip from NY to DC/VA and no issues other than the daily annoyances of a keyfob that isnt recognized by the starter or a seat that is not comfortable. Since starting your car, and sitting in your seat are not small details, I have to count these as major drawbacks. The keyfob can make you insane, as it doesnt start or tells me that the key has left the car anytime my 11 year old gets in or out (she is not carrying the key!). Seat digs into back of legs and doesnt adjust to the same spots consistently - bizarre! And no print manual is provided, so if you cant start your car, you cant read the manual!

  • Not all its hyped up to be...JGC 2012 5.7L Overland 4x4 - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Ive had my JGC over 2.5 years, and although I enjoy the vehicle most of the time, I cannot recommend it due to its numerous issues. The front sway bar bushings wore out last month. How is this possible on a relatively new vehicle? This weekend my check engine light came on again and the MDS is not working. I had this happen two years ago, and the end result was a bad cylinder valve that left me without a car for several weeks. If its the same issue again, Im done. Going foreign again. Ive had more issues with this car than my last 10 vehicles combined. I wanted so much for Jeep to succeed, but even if you put lipstick on a pig, its still a pig. Buyer beware.

  • A Good One! - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

We are a Ford family, but were not really impressed with the current Ford lineup as there just wasnt anything very exciting available. I was (and still am) interested in the 2011 (or 2012) Explorer reboot, but I wanted a new ride sooner. I researched the heck out of every mid-size SUV out there. For the money and build quality, this one cannot be beat. I picked up my Laredo X as soon as it hit the dealership lot. Ive never viewed the Grand Cherokee as a practical family hauler. The 2011 changes all of that. I feel very safe driving this beauty and my kids love it. Handles great, rides great, looks great.

  • Amazing Truck for the Money - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I was casually looking for a replacement for an SUV to replace my BMW 335 when I happened to drive by a Jeep dealer one evening. The Grand Cherokee they had parked out front literally made me stop in my tracks. It looks good in pictures, but incredible in person! The build quality is on par with the X5 and the price of a new 2011 Jeep was less than a comparable CPO 2008-09 BMW. I dont get stuck on badges, I just want a high-quality vehicle thats worth my hard-earned cash. The 2011 Grand Cherokee is definitely a great buy.
