  • Nice Change - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I bought my car about 1 month ago. I have owned Jeeps since 1985, with the last one being a 1996 that had over 217K miles on it when I sold it...to my mechanic by the way. If this car does as well, I will be a very happy, camper. So far this car is much more advanced, in looks, ride and performance. I could not be happier w/ the almost 2000 miles I have put on it thus far. I get lots of looks(especially from Acura MDX and BMW X5 drivers) and feel very proud to own a Jeep.

Test Drove 4Runner, Pathfinder, and Explorer. This one outclassed all the others in all categories. Only things missing blind spot warning and adaptive cruise control.

  • Fantastic Vehicle! - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I was looking for a full size truck, but found the ideal vehicle for me and my family. This car fits exactly want we want in a vehicle. 4WD with comfort and style. It was not a selection for this review, but we got the V8 Hemi. I drove the V6 and V8, the V8 is the way to go. If you are loaded down and traveling through the mountain passes, you will want the V8.

  • BMW No More - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This vehicle loves to be thrown into hard turns at speed. Very composed. The new wider track and longer wheelbase give it a smooth ride. Quiet cabin at 70 mph. Feels solid and comfortable. Exterior manages to look tough and sophisticated at the same time. As good as my old BMW X5 but much less expensive.much less expensive.

Ive had my GC for two years and 26K and absolutely love it. Have had no issues with it. I have a lot of vehicles in 45 years but this is my favorite. Cant wait to buy the new model in 2017 or so. Ive had 2 BMW X5s and like the GC much better.

  • Took Me A Couple Weeks to Really Love It - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Traded in the 2005 Rocky Mountain Edition 4x4 JCG,which I absolutely loved. Have been waiting for 1 year for the new 2011.Purchased the 4x4 6 cyl 26X pkg. (same color Inferno Red) What took me a couple of weeks to get used to was the wider/higher size. A few blind spots & I wasnt as comfortable changing lanes. But I do love it now! The interior is 100% improvement. The media center/stereo system is fantastic. Great not having to carry all my CDs w/ ability to download to the media hard disk drive. Love the rear assist camera and flawless smooth ride. Mostly small city driving, so do not care if I have 6 or V8 , but much better pick up with the 3.6 L, 6 cyl. than the previous 6 cyl.

  • Excellent - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

After coming from a 2010 Volvo XC70, it is clear that the Jeep is better in every regard. After moving from Florida to Alaska, a vehicle with more off-road capability was necessary. To see how good the vehicle really was I drove the whole way. 5000 miles later, my only complaints are that the rear seat is on the smaller side and the front seats dont massage. The Jeep makes up though by being the far most capable off road in the group I tested (Infinti QX56,Hummer H2 and H3, Cadillac Esclade, and Lexus Lx570 as well as having the smoothest ride. Front seats are very comfortable and have good array of adjustments. This vehicle is great and should be able to bring Chrysler back into the game.

  • Best GC yet - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Ive owned quite a few Grand Cherokees.I have a video production company and drive the heck out of them mostly loaded with gear.Ive had the 11 for just over a year and have put 66K miles on it. To date the only REAL issue is the clunk in the rear (that I cant find the source of) and the poor quality seat. Regarding the seat, Im 510" 175 lbs and I have a couple of springs or something coming through the bottom cushion, along with the material looking worn already. My seat in my 09 with 100K still looks new. Other than that, super comfortable, great gas mileage (V6), decent power, nice features blah blah blah. Overall I love it. Once back to the dealer for tranny reprogram.

  • Awesome redesign - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Have driven about 5,000 miles with no complaint. The vehicle is everything I had hoped. Mileage is almost exactly as promised averaging 20 to 22 for our type of mostly rural driving, the V6 is very smooth and quiet and gets the job done just fine (we dont do any towing). MPG readout is a bit optimistic. Unlike our old CR-V the JGC is quiet enough for front and back seat occupants to carry on a conversation. I like the firmness of the seats though I can understand why some may feel they are too firm. Overall quality is superb with little road noise and no squeaks or rattles.

All in all this car was very nicely finished. My only complaint would be the steering wheel, which looks kinda awkward. Besides that this car is ideal.
