After going through a full redesign two years ago, the Jeep Grand Cherokee receives a few changes for 2007. Most notably, the Grand Cherokee is expanding its powertrain options and will now offer a diesel engine, as well as an all-new flex-fuel-capable V8 engine that can also run on E85. Additional safety features are now included as standard equipment across the lineup as well.
- Diesel and flex-fuel engine options available, high-performance SRT8 variant, stellar off-road ability, simple controls.
- Cramped backseat, subpar gas mileage with the V8 engine, ride can be bouncy over ruts.

No problems - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By sdc - October 18 - 12:30 pmI purchased this vehicle used with the 4.7L V8 and 24K miles and have had no problems. It has power to pass traffic with no problems. We just had it on a trip and it performed wonderfully in foul weather. This is a true Jeep.

By kcandspaz - October 16 - 3:03 pmI bought this vehicle a couple of weeks ago. Already I love it! I purchased the 5.7 liter V8 flex fuel engine. Gas mileage is as expected (about 17 miles/gal), but the power and comfort cant be beat.

By robb - September 24 - 3:06 pmLand Rover, mbenz, Subaru outback are my other vehicles. I love this my first Jeep. I cant even believe the quality and engineering of the suspension and drive train. The ride is tight but comfortable. I would trade anything I have owned or driven for this vehicle. Jeep dont not get the credit it deserves.

So Far SOOO GOOOD! - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Pirate_Jeep - November 9 - 4:33 pmI purchased my 4 x 4 Jeep used (20,000 miles) 2 weeks ago & have been nothing but pleased with it so far. I was looking at getting a Tacoma, but am so glad I got the Cherokee instead. Great car like ride, smooth acceleration & comfortable interior. You get so much more for your money with this instead of the Tacoma (unless you need a truck bed). I highly suggest the Jeep Cherokee. Im paying a lot more for gas, but I expected that. I didnt buy the vehicle for great gas mileage. Lots of people have written reviews complaining about the reliability, but so far so good for me. Im pretty easy on my vehicles though.

By CLK - August 11 - 7:16 amSo far, love the SUV. Went from a Toyota car to an SUV, rides better! One has to remember it is a truck/SUV and therefore the fuel efficiency is lower than a car. Love the 4X4. The Limited has many extras!

Love my Jeep - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Carolinamama - July 28 - 5:56 amI love my Grand Cherokee. I owned a 2002 before this and I am a loyal Jeep customer. I love the way it drives and rides. It is very comfortable for long trips on the highway and short ones in town. I love the way it looks on the outside and inside. The only issues I have with it is that there is a little tire rubbing when I crank the wheel all the way right (doesnt happen when I turn left) and that the transmission seems to struggle for a couple of minutes on a cold morning. Also the gas mileage could be better but what do you expect for a large SUV. I get about 15 miles to the gallon in town and about 22 on the highway. Not too bad I guess

By Terry - July 20 - 9:03 amThis is the top performance SUV in the world with acceleration, speed, braking, and handling that must be experienced to be believed. Despite that you are surrounded by a luxurious environment with every feature and comfort you could want. When Im relaxing I must drive with the cruise control or I am going 100+ and not even know it until you notice you are blowing by other cars or you glance at the speedo. My mileage is 14.66 mpg but I never drive less than 85. If you appreciate precision and amazing performance but still need to do the family stuff this is the one for you. You will not be disappointed. I never thought I would own a Chrysler product, Im really glad I was wrong.

By Ray - July 14 - 12:43 pmI have driven Jeeps since 1998. Started with Cherokee and purchased my first Grand Cherokee in 2004. December 2006 I purchased a 2007 Overland. This is a great SUV. Nice design improvements and noticeable change in suspension from the 2004. Had some problems with the CD player and ended up changing it out on warranty. Great in the snow, but all of the jeeps I had were. Love the wooden steering wheel in the Overland. Interior now is similar to a loaded Limited. Not much difference between a 2009 loaded limited and an Overland. I have the 5.7 hemi. City/highway runs about 15.5 mpg. GPS is great, but the newer versions have a 3D mode, which is better. 2007 improved the ease of folding rear seat

Ive had 3 2005-2007 Grands and liked them all - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Jenifer Ambler - May 18 - 5:39 pmAfter my 2005 Grand (Laredo 4.7L V8 4x4) was totaled while still going strong at 171,000 miles, I replaced it with a used 2007 Grand Laredo V6 which is now up to 182,000 miles and still doing great. So I added a second 2007 Grand Laredo V8 which is also doing great at 96,000 miles, and handed the V6 over to the college student. Excellent on snow and ice in the winter, as well as back roads and New England mud season, yet highway ride is fine too. Very little has had to be done to any of them except normal maintenance and replacing worn-out items which were no surprise for the mileage. Some reviews complain about headroom but Im only 51" so no problem. Id happily buy one again.

Jeeps are Under rated - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By New Jeep Guy ROBB OR - January 6 - 9:26 amI was scared to even drive one after some of these reviews but I did and bought one used. Wow, coming from a Rover family this is a super vehicle! Ride, comfort, durability, size, looks are all there. Gas mileage could be better. My wife is buying a 2008 Liberty Limited cause she loves these after driving mine!
