After going through a full redesign two years ago, the Jeep Grand Cherokee receives a few changes for 2007. Most notably, the Grand Cherokee is expanding its powertrain options and will now offer a diesel engine, as well as an all-new flex-fuel-capable V8 engine that can also run on E85. Additional safety features are now included as standard equipment across the lineup as well.
- Diesel and flex-fuel engine options available, high-performance SRT8 variant, stellar off-road ability, simple controls.
- Cramped backseat, subpar gas mileage with the V8 engine, ride can be bouncy over ruts.

Review of My Jeep after 1 year owned - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Steven Sturm - May 1 - 11:26 amMy personal experience has been very good. This is the first Jeep that Ive owned. The Jeep has been around in my family for years and many of my friends have Jeeps as well. Ive never owned a vehicle so great off-road. I have no trouble in the toughest snow/ice, through streams, on unpaved back roads & trails. Recently I experienced a problem where the Jeep would not shift out of 2nd gear, the dealer updated the computer & I havent had a problem since, also, the power window motors when bad & were replaced around 22,000 miles, I am currently at 33,500 miles. I use full synthetic oil & a fuel additive & get about 17.4 MPG city, 21.4 highway. My only complaint is the speakers, easy fix.

3rd Jeep - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Jerry - January 21 - 4:03 amThis is my third Jeep, I love them and my only complaint is that I waited so long to purchase one. I brought this one is 2007; I have not had any problems oil change regularly and it keeps me moving. I have to drive all over the Lancaster county for my job, I might start my day off at one end of the county and finish my day a the other end and my jeep always gets the job done no matter if I travel highways or dirt roads. Fuel is another story, but I am not willing to give up a car I love for money. Im looking forward to the 2011; they are changing the body again, it looks smooth.

Great in the snow - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Mike - November 10 - 12:10 amThis is our second Grand Cherokee. We travel a lot in the snow and ice. We have yet to find a better vehicle for that purpose. Handled our snow mobile trailer with no problems, even in deep show. The ride is 100% better than our 2003. Mileage averages 18-20 on the highway when I keep my foot out of it. (we have the Hemi)

Love it!! - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Jeepster - October 2 - 3:33 amBought this Jeep as a demo with 6k miles on it. Has been a great car since then. I follow the maintenance schedule religiously, and the only problem ive had is the front window regulator, which was quickly replaced under warranty at an oil change. I find coupons on the jeep website for a $21.95 oil change and tire rotation, which is great. I really love this car, it is fun to drive, the perfect size, and i average 17.7 mpg is soley city driving! Runs great on regular fuel. It is the perfect car for me. I cannot wait for the 2011 version to come out, i am hooked on Jeeps!

WOW! - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Crookster777 - September 7 - 8:43 amWhat a great SUV. Looks great. I got the Black/Slate Gray combo. The Hemi is powerful, it runs quiet, the Nav is great. The leather/suede seats are great. Much, much better than my WJ, but I miss it. The Overland attracts a lot of attention. I have received so many compliments and I have only had it for 2 days!

By Garry - April 5 - 12:03 amThis is our 3rd Jeep. I like the upgrades of the 07 from the 04 I had. I put a lot of miles on it and tow my boat all over the state and eastern part of the country. The Jeep handles it great. Also - never an issue when driving in winter weather.

New to Jeep - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By jinx1928 - April 3 - 9:18 pmI recently purchased a 2007 Grand Cherokee Laredo Rocky Mountain edition. It is a certified one-owner car with only 17,500 miles on it, so it is virtually still a new vehicle. Interior and exterior are almost pristine, with little sign of wear. The only complaint I have is, that the alloy wheels have some scratches on them, but I will try to buff them out. Car feels and drives like new. It has a sliding moonroof, and the premium Boston stereo system. No bluetooth, unfortunately, but I can use a bluetooth earpiece. I had considered a Ford Escape, but this Jeep is a good deal bigger and rides much better.

My Crown Jewel! - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By stimp - November 19 - 12:38 amI cant say enough good things about this jeep. I have a fully loaded with 5.7L Hemi. Black with a factory upgraded chrome rim. I truly feel this product rivals anything from the luxury brands. I bought it used with 36k miles for $25k. Now it has 65k. I replaced the battery thats it. My payment is $368 a month and people act like im rich to be driving it. My wife drives it more than I and gets way too much attention. It turns heads everywhere we go, but im blown away by the interior cabin comfort and feel and how it handles. its like a sports car. My wife and I agree we are going to pay it off and keep it until I give it to my nephew. He is only 8 now so I will have it a while.
