After going through a full redesign two years ago, the Jeep Grand Cherokee receives a few changes for 2007. Most notably, the Grand Cherokee is expanding its powertrain options and will now offer a diesel engine, as well as an all-new flex-fuel-capable V8 engine that can also run on E85. Additional safety features are now included as standard equipment across the lineup as well.

• Diesel and flex-fuel engine options available, high-performance SRT8 variant, stellar off-road ability, simple controls.

• Cramped backseat, subpar gas mileage with the V8 engine, ride can be bouncy over ruts.

  We purchased our Jeep in Sept. 2007 and have had it back for repairs three times in the last two months for the same problem. Our Jeep Grand Cherokee has stalled out and has slipped out of gear 14 times during this time. The vehicle only has 11,000 miles on it and the Chrysler Dealership repair shop first said it was a fuel problem, then it was error messages identifying the transmission, and now the dealership has told us that it is unable to duplicate the problem and has given us the Jeep back with no repairs being made. My wife has almost been involved in two accidents, one of which my two daughters were in the car. I always heard about the reliability of Jeep but this will be our last Jeep

  Excellent Ride - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee

  The jeep has all the power it needs with the V-6. Acceleration is good even on a hill. Better gas mileage is only found in smaller SUVs.This one is just average like its competitors. I love the size and fit of the cabin layout. My six foot plus sons ride in the back very comfortably. I would recommend one as my sister did to me.

  worst car every. nothing but troubles.stops running when it chooses to. almost got killed when it stoped running on the freeway. shift module needs to be replaced ,car has 44,000 on it. i will never, ever buy another chrysler veh. they need to have a recall on this. i guess we will have to get the state in it or some good lawyers.chrysler wont admit its a problem,and they wont help anyone with this. thats why they will always be no.3 this has been a nightmare,im afraid to drive it,never know when it will decide to stop or go. all the money i put out for this car and it sits in the driveway. come on guys STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THIS.after all we bailed you out.

  Keep away from the JGC. I had a 2004 JGC and loved it. replaced for new model in 2007. After I bought this SUV I had horrible noise coming from outside after 30mph. Had to take in 3 times for them to redo weather stripping because it was not fastened at factory. Horrible blind spots. Cheap plastic interior. Auto windows dont work when it rains and Chrylser wont fix it under warranty? Cloth seats stain when water gets on them. This has been a known problem since 2005 but Chrysler wont fix. No leg room in back seats. Horrible gas milage for a V6. This 2005 and up model is a huge let down compared to the 1999-2004 model. No wonder Chrysler went under

  I like the laredo; had only one problem (non response when accelerate/15OOO mi.)so i took it to the dealer and they fixed it that same day.I get 20.7mpg combined out of the v6 at 70mph.I love driving it on snow/ice and rain.This suv is solid,safe and handles great. I recommend it to anyone looking for an SUV,not for commuter econobox type. My next car will be a JEEP!......its a jeep thing......

  A bit of a rough ride but thats par for the course with an off roading vehicle. Solid SUV-my wife and I feel safe in this auto. Has been a very reliable car, still has original brakes! Very few repairs.

  I bought this jeep with only 12,000 km on it,after owning a 1999 jeep cherokee sport before this one I didnt think that I would regret making this purchase.This vehicle has a mind of its own and decides itself when it wants to accelerate and when it doesnt, I dont want to take any chances when pulling onto a major highway as I never know if it is going to go or not!After seeing all the reviews of people with the same problems Im wondering how seriously someone is going to have to be injured before Chrysler recalls!I bought this vehicle because I have a family but I dont want to even take my son in it! This jeep has turned me off chrysler products definitely look elsewhere for reliability

  Had a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I loved the performance - wife did not like the transmission. Went to an Acura MDX. Now back to the Grand Cherokee - lots of vehicle for the money. Great options with the limited package. The 4.7 V8 is not as spirited as in the 2000? Watch Chrysler - newspaper cited a significant recall for the 2007 Grand Cherokee - dealers service department did not address this recall concerning loss of electronic brake function, antilock brake system, traction control and speedometer functions. Given the dealer apathy, I doubt I would be too quick to buy another Chrysler Product.

  I hate to express negative reviews on products cause its dissapointing but I Bought this vehicle & loved it for about 4 weeks. Then it was one problem after another! Sensors Going Mad, Transmission got sluggish & slow 2 react.Not 2 say scared since the TV News Report on how dangerous these vehicles are considering the transmissions have taken off on several buyers!!Read all the reviews on the new Jeep styles since 2005 before you spend your money!! You will see they are Horrible.I got so irritated w/ spending so much time in a Servive Dept that I got all my money back & bought a new Honda Accord & I Love It! I learned one thing..   This is my second Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, a 2007 that we just bought new in 3/08. These are great vehicles. If you can do it, I highly recommend the Limiteds. They are luxurious but sporty. Im admittedly a gadget girl, so I love the little features--stereo controls behind the steering wheel, power memory seats and mirrors, leather interior, etc. The V8 drives like a dream, smooth but very quick. It is so fun to drive. Design is classic. A much "cooler" choice for this soccer mom than other options!
