Poor suspension - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By driver109 - February 27 - 12:31 pmPurchased a Jeep Overland only to find that the suspension produces a very loud bang noise upon recoil when going over a pothole or bump. This is on all 4 wheels and Chrysler and the Dealership acknowledge the issue in both 2011 and 2012 models and say its a characterisitic of the vehicle. Can you believe that? This is supposed to be a vehicle that can take you anywhere. Chrysler acknowledges the problem but wont fix it. See for yourself...take one for a test drive and go over a speed bump or ride off a curb...its simply shocking!!!!! Dont buy one...

Unexpectedly Poor Reliability - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By va944s - January 28 - 1:21 amI have been extremely disappointed in having four warranty issues within one year. I have had to have the following items replaced: torn weatherstripping, radiator, and media center. They have been unable to diagnose an issue with the keyless entry fob not working intermittantly. I contacted the dealer about all of the problems Ive experienced and they gave me a Chrysler Customer Service number to contact. The service representative was unable to offer any assistance whatsoever, just wrote down what Ive experienced and told me to call back if I had any more issues!

One Week In - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By John C - January 19 - 8:43 pmPicked up a 2011 Limited with the V8 and all available options. Traded in a 2001 GC Limited for this one. What a difference 10 model years make! Lots more power, drives a lot nicer, and looks better but the biggest difference is all the creature comforts and gadgets that have been added to the interior. (Ventilated seats are awesome on these 100 degree August days) Dealers do not seem to be offering much of a discount from MSRP on these in our area, but I was still able to get them to come down a little bit. It seems that everybody is confident in this vehicle -- hopefully Chrysler can follow this one up with more great new models.

2011 JGC Key Fob Issues - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By csummers1 - January 14 - 1:36 pmBought our new 2011 JGC in Oct 2011. The key fob is not recognized so it wont unlock or start. When you press unlock on the key fob, nothing happens. We tried using the hidden key inside the fob to unlock the door, but all that does is set off the alarm. The vehicle goes into security mode and theres nothing we can do until its ready!!! Owners manual says remove the start button and insert the key fob to start the vehicle and take it out of alarm mode, but that doesnt happen. Its locked down! Its been in the shop 3 Xs with no results. We think we have a lemon...still waiting to hear back from Chrysler. In the shop for 3 weeks now while we wait to see what Chrysler is going to do.

Very Nice! - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By rrhoad - January 13 - 6:32 pmJust picked up my 2011 Mineral Gray with Black interior Overland 3.6 Liter six cylinder (4x4). Traded in my 2010 Limited with Hemi. Was worried I would really miss the Hemi. The 90 mile drive home diffused the worries. Plenty of power and very quiet. A completely different ride then the 2010. Less choppy and more comfortable all around. Will report later as I have a chance to experience in more detail.

Successful Downsize - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By MBT - October 4 - 10:00 amAfter four Acura MDXs and less kids living at home, I was looking to downsize. Drove the Audi Q5, Nissan Murano, Acura RDX, as well as a few others. All were either too small or drove like a minivan. I Stopped by the Jeep dealer on a whim and drove the 11 GC. I was pleasantly surprised; Jeep has definitely gotten it right this time. Power is as responsive as our 08 MDX, steering is not as heavy, and ride is quite smooth. Cabin is beautiful with all the right tech features. I would highly recommend shopping the Jeep against all the midsized imports. You will not be disappointed and it certainly is the most bang for your buck!

Lovin my NEW 2011 GRAND CHEROKEE - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Kristine - September 25 - 12:30 amWent from a 1999 Jeep Laredo to the 2011 GC Limited. Waited a year for this vehicle and absolutely love it. Wanted something with the fully capable 4-wheel drive function + a tow package. Kept telling myself after it comes out - wait 6 months to purchase but I didnt. Saw it - drove it- loved it - ordered it and now own it. Interior, exterior, features, functions, just love it all. Larger than my other one but still love to drive. Didnt like the 2005 - 2010 square body style - so happy with this one. I am 36 years old - and this is my first BRAND NEW CAR - I have ever owned. It definitely was well worth the wait. Go Jeep :)

Best Jeep Grand Cherokee yet hands down!!! - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By jeepgirl21 - September 13 - 1:17 amBought my Jeep Grand Cherokee technically last year but less than a year ago. I love this Jeep. Ive had Cherokees before and the inside of this new one definitely takes the cake. So comfortable, and very usable. Im not sure what the last lady was talking about and maybe she just had a bad apple which can happen with any brand but I have never driven anything that was this worry free. I love this Jeep and will drive it anywhere knowing Im fine and wont have issues. I had a BMW before this and had issue after issue and they didnt want to help me out. Not only that the run flats on the BMW were hell to replace. "no cost to owner my butt on the Beemer. Thanks BMW but Ill stick with Jeep!!
