Overview & Reviews
Although the exterior styling may look familiar, Jaguar's historic sales leader, the XJ, has been completely redesigned for 2004.
- Supple ride quality, powerful V8 engines, roomier interior.
- Fussy interior controls, clumsy transmission shifter, CD changer is still in the trunk.

Be careful with what you are expecting here - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series
By mr_dearborn - November 5 - 1:49 pmThe car is pretty to look at, has a fantastic engine, and rides like a dream. These were the things I was looking for in a car. I was hoping that Fords $3 billion investment several years before this car would resolve reliability issues. Nope. This car had a number of advancements that didnt quite work and are expensive to fix: 1) electric parking break, 2) air suspension, 3) aluminum unibody (rust), 4) transmission leaks. Ive dropped $11K on my $18K car thus far. It has 50K miles. Also, the handling isnt quite on par with the German cars; it doest love curves and corners. In short, be careful with your expectations on this one.

Let Jaguar Work the Kinks Out - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series
By Esteban - July 5 - 10:00 amA beauty, quick, fun to drive. Easily fits my 63" frame. But, at 100 miles an emergency brake warning came on. Took 3 weeks waiting for parts and an overnight in the shop before problem was solved with a new brake from England. I had to keep calling for latest updates; Jag customer Relations was no help. Also, 1-touch up for all windows are erratic, and dont work at all after visit to shop. Service manager observed this problem on several new XJs, but does not yet know the solution.

Good car, Horrible buying experience - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series
By L.A. Buyer - April 5 - 10:00 amThis is my second Jaguar. I like them because they are the most beautiful cars on the road. This model seems to be very good. Handles well and a lot of thought has gone into the interior design. The good things with this new car has been overshadowed by the HORRIBLE buying and delivery experience with GALPIN Jaguar, including but not limited to being treated poorly, car sold and delivered by someone who didnt know how to operate the car, the navigational system or program the radio, car not detailed properly, calls not returned in a timely fashion. Ruined the experience of enjoying a brand new car.
