Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

The G35 Handles and rides very smooth. This car is very sharp and elegant looking. The interior is incredible.

  • Poor Build Quality - 2006 Infiniti G35

Fun to Drive if you can stand the rattles from the windows, FSBs on the 03/04/05s but not yet on the 06s, Infiniti denies there is any issues on the 06s and will not repair. Infiniti knew there were problems for 3 years and contiuned to sell these cars and did nothing to fix the rattles.

  • Watch Out BMW - 2008 Infiniti G37

Had Bimmers for several years and still like them. Tried to trade in my 03/Z4 for a 08/330 coupe but felt like I got the brush off from the saleman. Went across the street and purshased the G37 that evening. Purely amazed that I found a car that not only was several thousand less than the BMW but could run with it as well. Interior and exterior fit and finishes are fantastic. But the best experience is to hop in and let her run. WOW! My MPG is averaging right at 26mpg out on the highway and 23mpg combined. Cant wait to see the convertible when it arrives.

  • Love my G35! - 2005 Infiniti G35

I love everything about my G35. I picked the sedan over the coupe because it is easier to get in and out of it, especially when taking more than one passenger. It has a lot of pep, it it smooth as silk to drive and it looks sporty for a sedan. I think it is the best value on the road!

  • choice machine - 1999 Infiniti I30

I have recently purchased the "limited" version of the 99 I30. This vehicle looks very sleek and the ride is extremely comfortable. There is great value in buying this car used with low mileage. Others think the car costs much more than it actually did. The gas mileage leaves a bit to be desired, but the comfort and look make up for it plus more.

  • Perfect Entry-Level Luxury Car - 2003 Infiniti G35

This is a great car for the value and its styling (especially the side view) is very sharp. A good blend of power and luxury for under $35,000. I cant imagine ever buying a GS 300 while this car is out there. I did experience a small glitch with the turn signal not making any noise, but Infiniti replaced it. Otherwise, Ive enjoyed the vehicle.

  • Good but overrated - 2003 Infiniti G35

Great Looking Car. Sub-par interior: No armrest, no memory seats, poorly located cupholders, and a barely functional backseat(<= 59"). Pros: dash arrangement, steering wheel controls, and the Seats. "specs" vs "experience": Sedan felt more powerful (with 20 less HP, and AT). The coupe feels heavy. Some may describe the acceleration as "smooth" or "refined", but I would describe it as tame, and truly did not feel like 280HP. While the sedan felt energetic, the coupe felt bloated. The 6-SP shifter is nice, however the clutch was a bit heavy for my taste. Pro: the coupe does handle extremely well, and sticks to the road like glue.

  • The best car I have owned, totally fun to drive - 2016 Infiniti Q50
    By -

I also own the 750li so I was a little skeptical on the 2016 q50 turbo. I love the handling and this car hugs the road in a way I have not felt before, it is a quiet whisper grabbing the curbs of the road even steep inclines.. This car is a lot a power and bang for the buck include the ease of "total" voice navigation for all the controls. I also love the braking power. It gives total break without the noise or the jerk, very amazing in a 4 cylinder car. I love it and it is worth every penny of the $41k price tag.. I do a lot of interstate and city and I am getting 24.5 miles per gallon. I have saved 52 kg of fuel economy with the 8 months that I have drove the car.. I have put way more miles on this car than I thought that I would.. I am now up to 20k miles, but dang she is beautiful and fun to drive..

  • QX56=Luxury - 2010 Infiniti QX56

Great SUV! Great design! Luxury is unmatched at a great price! Takes several days just to learn about all the options/features that it offers! There is plenty of room even for my 6ft 3 inch body!

  • 2006 Q45s - 2006 Infiniti Q45
    By -

I have owned 1993 & 1996 Q45. The 2006 Q45s ride is exemplary and far superior to the others. The vehicle allows you to feel the road like a real sports car and yet, ridding in luxury. NOT EVERYONE HAS ONE! Mileage not bad for a V8,340hp. Design allows the car to speed up without wind noise. To bad 2007 will not see one; however, I am told that in 2008 the Q is coming back with a vengeance.
