Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

The best - 2002 Infiniti I35
By Blues3131 - February 24 - 10:00 amI was looking for a car that would satisfy my heavy foot as well as my need for luxury.I am no longer looking! The I35 is the best car for the money on the market. The build quality is superb.I was looking at everything and kept getting drawn back to this car.The Mercedes I was looking at would have been 8 grand more for the same features! Not to mention the size difference! The Acura TL felt cheap, and had too much torque steer. The ES300 (less HP) was also too expensive for the features it offers.Every comparison points to this car!The only thing this car doesnt have is a telescoping steering wheel.Big Whoop!

DREAM SUV - 2005 Infiniti QX56
By CSTEP - February 23 - 3:36 amI purchased this vehicle at Inifiniti of Memphis, my hometown and I reside in Arkansas near the Oklahoma border (about 5 hours)and on my trip home, I felt like I was a first class passenger flying in a JET. I have driven several different SUVs and my choice was between this vehicle and the Cadillac Escalade. I must say that the escalade is beautiful on the outside like the Inifiniti, but the inside cannot compare. The Cadillac is not only outdated inside, but has a pimpish image and this is not what I wanted. When you say Infiniti it says class, luxury, technology and performance.

2004 g35 coupe w/leather - 2004 Infiniti G35
By AF20 - February 22 - 2:00 amGreat car, very reliable.I have had it for almost a year and loved it. Though at times you may hate..like during the snow and when your low on cash and premium gas is 3.50/gal. I have only had to rotate the tires and thats it. I also change the oil and filter every 3000 miles.Plus its a chick magnet :)

I am another satisfied customer - 2008 Infiniti M45
By alxpush - February 20 - 4:36 pmI am at the end of my 39 mo lease (bought 2006 model on 10/30/05), love the car from day one. Perfectly comfortable inside and outside. Excellent nav system, very useful rear view camera (day or night), especially for parking in tight places, plenty of power. Overall 9/10, only because I know, there is better cars out there which I have not tried yet.

2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe - Maximum Fun - 2004 Infiniti G35
By anaviator - February 20 - 2:00 amThe G35 Coupe is a great value for the money. It is an absolute joy to drive and does indeed turn heads. I purchased the 6MT model with the Premium Package, Aero Package, and XM Radio. The car handles beautifully (well...in anything but snow anyway), has plenty of power, and gets decent mileage. I narrowed my choices down to the Mazda RX-8 and the Infiniti. I have no doubt that I made the right decision...

Horse power and torque is incredible! - 2006 Infiniti M45
By LeonC626 - February 18 - 12:30 pmI originally had my sights on the QX56 but after test driving the M35 and M45, I decided to go with something sporty. The initial test drive with M35 wasnt quite satisfying, so I decided to test out the M45. The V8 on the 45 version has a great compromise on the bulkiness of the sedan. The car takes off like a rocket. The thrill on speed is just one of the best features, the stability is probably the second biggest accomplishment for this car. Body roll is minimal when serving through the lanes in high speed on the freeway. The manual shifting is precise and quick. The only recommendation I have for this car is a six-speed auto gear box insteaf of five and a small lift on the rear facia.
