Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Infiniti Got It Right - 2004 Infiniti G35
By G35Dan - December 21 - 2:00 amIf design quality, superior performance, sufficient create comforts and low price tags are factors important to you in determining what car to purchase, then look no further than the Infiniti G35 sedan. I have driven the BMW3/5 series and the Mercedes Benz C class, and only the 2004 BMW 5 series comes close. Costing $34,000 to $35,000, though, the G35 leaves all others in its wake. Save your $10,000 dollars for doing something else other than buying a BMW or Mercedes Benz. This car is all that and then some!!!!

I30 - 2000 Infiniti I30
By patmcc - December 19 - 10:00 amAfter owning BMWs and Acuras for the 15 prior years I decided to look at the Maximas and I-30s along with the Acura. The I-30 was the top choice and continues to live up to my expectation. So much so that my husband purchased a 2001 QX4 14 months later.

Love My I35 - 2002 Infiniti I35
By CaptainTK - December 19 - 10:00 amJust purchased my first Infiniti. Extremely happy with my purchase and I think its one of the best values on the road. We were previously looking at Mercedes, BMW & Lexus but when I compared the value of the Infiniti my wife and I were sold immediately. We were treated very well by Brian Clifft at Infiniti of Orlando/

This Car Gets Better and Better - 2003 Infiniti G35
By EJoe - December 19 - 10:00 amThe more I drive this car the more I love it. The handling and power are the big pluses, but I find myself enjoying the comfort and looks of the interior more and more. Started off looking at BMW 325, but tough to go back after experiencing horsepower of the G35. Also like the feeling of more interior room. Wife liked it right away and beleive me thats a bonus.

Very Nice SUV! Bring back the QX4 - 2001 Infiniti QX4
By MTMnet - December 18 - 10:20 pmPurchased it used with 95K miles and it feels almost like new. Very nice inside and out. Drives great on smooth roads but is bumpy and truck like on bad sections of the freeway. I will try bringing the tire pressures down to 26lbs as recommended to see if that makes a difference. Otherwise the Q is excellent all around!

KMG review - 2004 Infiniti G35
By kevin grady - December 17 - 10:00 amShopped the five local dealerships and found out the sales tactics have fallen way behind compared to when i purchased my I30T in 1996. Can only recommend one of the five. Ordered the car and it took 4 months to get it; wouldnt do it again.

Big, Bold, and Beautiful - 2011 Infiniti QX56
By krookey - December 17 - 5:00 amI bought this SUV for my wife after looking at the Mercedes GL, Lexus 460, and Escalade. The interior was superior to all competitors, more luxurious, and more confortable. Add 400 HP, silky, ultra smooth ride, and front seats that rival any lazyboy recliner, and it is a clear winner. I swear that the acceleration feels faster than my Porsche Cayman, and feels rock solid like my Mercedes. The tech features are cool, and can keep you entertained. Now for the exterior styling, I applaud Infiniti for taking a bold, new statement that stands out amongst the "Camery-Diseased", boring, SUV boxes that litter the road. Dare to be different, an identity, an Individual.

3-Series perf with a real back seat - 2003 Infiniti G35
By twilightblue - December 15 - 10:00 amNeeded to turn in my 328i for a sports sedan with room for suddenly larger kids. This car competently carries four adults, or three kids in the back, with much more cargo space; and is a blast to drive by myself. Excellent handling & acceleration.
