Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Great Car - 2008 Infiniti G35
By rabbht - February 7 - 1:23 amHad a Mercedes ML500 that was dead in the garage 3 times with only 23000 miles on it. Had to change cars. I had Infinitis before and they were all great, never any problems and great dealer service. This g35x is the best one yet. I love driving it and it has so many great tech items on the car.

Nice Vehicle but Limited Music System - 2008 Infiniti QX56
By Dave - February 6 - 6:20 pmThis is a great vehicle if you need / want a large SUV and dont mind the poor gas mileage. My only major disappointment was to discover the only method of getting a song onto the hard drive is to rip it directly from an audio CD. Anyone who has spent the time to move their music collection to a computer understands the amount of time this requires and would find it ludicrous to have to do this again in a car one CD at a time. In addition, the Compact Flash slot will only read up to 500 songs regardless of the size of the CF card (A cheap 4 gigabyte CF card will hold approx 1000 songs). These issues limit the usefulness of the music system, but if that is not important, the car is great

Heeeeehaaaaaa... - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Joonbug - February 6 - 10:00 amMay I tell you - this is an AWESOME CAR to drive! In order to purchase a car, I had taken the time to test drive several cars (A4,Passat, I35,IS300,TL and 3series). Even with a second drive, the end result was the same... hands down, G35 was the best out of all of them. The car has a solid feel to begin with. Its acceleration and the ability to take on corner is absolutely amazing. Yet, even though it has a very sporty look and ride to it, it is nevertheless, very comfortable to drive. It feels as if youre driving a sports car but with all the amenities of a fine luxury european sedan.

The Best of the Best - 2008 Infiniti QX56
By Jeff C - February 1 - 7:06 pmI owned a 2004 (first year model) and had several problems with it. I finally decided to get a new one to take advantage of all the modifications and upgrades. Boy were there a lot of them. From the much more luxurious interior (more wood grain) to folding mirrors with directional signal, heated steering wheel, larger DVD screen, power rear seat, larger wheels.... and the list goes on and on. They did everything right and I am in love with my 2008.

Pure.... - 2003 Infiniti G35
By OnuSigep - February 1 - 10:00 amI test drove everything from Mazda Millennia to BMW 3 series to Cadillac CTS. This was by far the best all around car, especially for the money. I have a black/graphite with every factory option except the Navigation. The car rides smooth, it looks sharp, and it is a blast to drive. The mpg is low, but comparable to other cars in the class. I am very pleased with every aspect except the common complaint of the analog clock, which I dont care about. The Bose premium sound system is incredible and incredibly loud! This is one fierce car.
