Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Mostly happy - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Fast n furious - October 28 - 2:00 amI just picked-up my G35 Coupe. I opted for the automatic and dont regret it a bit. The ability to shift and drive in traffic with a cell phone makes for a pleasant drive. The car is quick and fun to drive. I am still trying to find the most comfortable position for the drivers seat. Tawt ride and seats that hug (maybe a bit more that they should) lead to a bit of discomfort.

Fun in the Sun - 2009 Infiniti G37
By 3andg - October 26 - 3:15 pmI purchased the G37 Convertible new in November, 2009, and now have ~14k miles on it. Unlike most hard top convertibles, it looks great top up and top down. The car is an absolute blast to drive when the weather is sunny and one can take the top down. With the top up, it is a mediocre performer due to the weight of the retractable top and structural reinforcements. Creature comforts are great - the ventilated seats, iPod Integration, Bluetooth and Bose Audio System - make the car very liveable on a daily basis. Due to the styling, there is limited storage space in the trunk and car. I highly recommend the air deflector for the car - it makes a big difference at highway speeds (70mph+)

LOVE MY Q - 2002 Infiniti Q45
By camembry - October 23 - 10:00 amThis is the best car for the money. Its comfortable, fast, responsive and really fast. I mean really fast. Good brakes and handles very well in heavy rains, water at the side of the road. Love the adjustable headlamps. Also, the smart cruise control is brilliant. Sounds system is excellent, too. Also like having the CD in the cab rather than the trunk.

My favorite car ever - 2002 Infiniti I35
By huskersOmaha - October 23 - 6:56 amIve had my I35 for almost 6 years now, and I still love it. I love the styling (pearl white w/gold trim). In the 6 years Ive had it, the only repair was the light on the heated seat went out. It just runs and runs, my dependable "baby". Comfortable, fast, good gas mileage.

6MT is NICE! - 2006 Infiniti G35
By Hank Wake - October 19 - 10:20 amThe G35 is a great bargain compared to other sport cars. I considered the IS350 and BMW 330. The 6 speed manual has a short throw that is fun to drive. I recommend the black interior, it looks better than the light colors. Bluetooth and Navigation are great options to consider. Other buyer are right on regarding the exterior looks - others will admire your car.

Fantastic - 2007 Infiniti G35
By J - October 17 - 6:26 pmIve had the 2007 Infiniti G35 for three weeks now. What a great car - handling, acceleration, comfort, and looks. 0 to 60 in 5.2 seconds is not a joke. Ive seen adult men drool while walking around my car. I would never have looked at the 06 and previous models. The redesign for 2007 is sharp and gorgeous.

Quality and fun! - 2003 Infiniti I35
By Canne - October 16 - 10:00 amI have now had my I35 for over a year and still love it. Opening it up on I95 hasnt lost its kick. Despite the sporty features, the car is quite practical. The fold down seats in the back are great for my chows. The trunk is roomy and the pass through is big enough to be useful. The leather quality is excellent and doesnt seem to wear at all.
