Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

better as time passes - 2004 Infiniti G35
By budoinst - March 23 - 2:00 amMy initial feelings was that the car was the best I had newly purchased, but realized that one needed time and miles to truly get a overall feeling. The more I drive it, the better I like it and that is the important point. A great looking car, great power (0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds with an automatic several times with a G-timer tester), great handling (.90g with the same tester), and great breaking. Comfortable, stable, and great for long trips. $ for $, hard to beat

The Head Turner - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Greg M - March 22 - 9:33 pmGreat car. Fun to drive. I bought the Diamond ext/ black int. w/sport sup., wing. It looks like a rocket., puts the 350z style to shame. When you drive down the road, heads turn and people are twisting their necks to get a second look. I have been waiting to enter streets and seen wives telling their husbands " thats it, thats the car we need to get." This car is fun, fun, fun to drive. If you want a car thats turns heads this is the one - heck with those BMWs and the 350z ( looks like somebody to a chainsaw and cut off the rear 2feet). If you want style and great features and a car thats fun to drive.....GO G. G35 You will not be sorry.

The most fun I have had in a car!!! - 2005 Infiniti G35
By Chris - March 18 - 10:43 amInfiniti has done a great job in revamping the 2005 compared to the 03- 04. The interior quality is 10 times better than before. This vehicle is a real head turner, that is what I love about it. The performance is great, you will hit 110mph before you know it. Also the new sport package is great, the fact that I can get a 19" wheel is awesome.

Very reliable and comfortable - 2003 Infiniti I35
By jc01 - March 15 - 6:26 pmBought new in 03 for 21.5k. The car has been ultra-reliable with no significant problems at all. After 52k miles the only maint. I have had to do is change my oil+filter. I so far have never had to refill oil in between changes, my tires are in great shape, and all components still work great. I really liked the interior and the soft leather seats. The car is quiet and has a powerful engine. Its a sleeper car in that it is very nondescript, but it also has a streamlined look. The drive is not comparable to a sports sedan but thats not the point. It handles well for its size in the corners and has good balance. The steering feedback is very good as well.

Best SUV yet! - 2004 Infiniti QX56
By Sharondez - March 11 - 10:00 amAlways had a large suv but wanted somthing more luxurious and solid, saw the tv commercial for QX and i knew i had to have it. Mine came with a wheel package on it, (Someone did it after shipping to dealer) there was no comparison when it sat next to the others had to have it. Just be careful if doing it after market make sure your tire sensors will still be able to read the tire pressure, was told some may not be able to.
