Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • got 3 speeding tickets in a year - 2003 Infiniti G35

After getting my third speeding ticket, my wife now drives the G35 and i get to drive our minivan. I drive the g35 on the weekends and its hell the five days i do not drive the g35. Not the most comfortable car ive owned, but the most fun ive had on four wheels. If you want comfortable, go get a cadillac deville. If you want to raise the hair on the back of your neck, get a g35 and find a winding road. The car feels like im riding on two rails... unless i take the vdc control off. My wife loves the car as well. plenty of room for a baby seat in the rear and trunk accomodates four golf bags easily. I love this car!

  • Best Car Ever - 2003 Infiniti G35

I bought this car used with 8,000 miles on the clock. After having driven a German car for the previous two years I was skeptical that anybody could build a car more fun the drive than the one I was trading in. The Infiniti delivered everything I was looking for and more. The car gets a lot of positive attention where ever I go. Thinking of it makes me smile and I never grow tired of turing the key and hearing it growl to life. If youre in the market for a car, shop the competition, then buy the G35. You wont regret it.

  • This is a REAL SUV (QX-56) - 2005 Infiniti QX56

We were toying with the idea of getting a run of the mill Tahoe when we drove by the Infiniti showroom. We have had sports cars and traded in a Volvo convertible (C-70) Now my wife says its her turn to run them off the road! If you can afford the premium fuel and dont mind if a K&N filter doesnt add to the lowly 12 miles per gallon this is THE vehicle for you !!!

  • Cant beat it for the money - 2005 Infiniti G35

I traded a 2003 G35 Sedan for this coupe. Cant beat the styling, but I cant believe memory seats are not offered. The exterior styling is top- notch, but interior comforts really are lacking. I think Lexus does a much better job on their interior, but their exterior styling is SO stodgy. So, I guess I can live with a few less bells and whistles on the inside, because I love all the head-turners I am seeing. I have actually had at least 20 people comment on what a beautiful car this is in parking lots in the the two and a half months I have owned it. Got the Lakeshore Slate. Its a GREAT color. Looks great day or night. For less than 40k you are not going to find a more satisfying car.

  • My G-35 Coupe - 2005 Infiniti G35

I love looking at and driving this car. I have talked with other owners who have complained about braking problems. I have not experienced this yet. My only dislike of the car is the limited headroom. I also have difficulty locating what I want on the instrument panel.

  • My I35 LuvIt - 2002 Infiniti I35

I love my Infiniti I had a fully loaded 98 Maxima after it was stolen I got the I35. Yes they still look like the Maxima inside with a few more features. Yes the turning could be tighter but the car is still great. The ride is great for long distances. Dealership is great they go above and beyond. Even when its there fault. While looking at other cars like the Acura TL, Lexus ES300, Jaguar which was too small. None could change my mind. I did sway on the TL for the auto stick but the color choices for the TL were boring.

This is a gorgeous and fun car to drive. My only real complaint is the gas mileage, but I guess thats a tradeoff for the awesome engine.

  • Incredible Machine - 2003 Infiniti G35

I test drove the BMW 3 series, Acura CL type s, Lexus IS300 and there is no comparison. This car is incredible. No none can believe the price of this car, everyone thinks it is a $50k plus for everything you get. I have never had a vehicle that gets this many looks. Absolutely awesome car.
