Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

Very happy owner - 2004 Infiniti I35
By Cruzin Mark - October 17 - 10:00 amIve had this car for a week now. I love it. Very smooth and powerful. There is some engine growl moving around low speeds (such as moving slowly through parking lots), but is quiet during normal driving. Was considering G35, but the price was much better for I35. My dealer is awesome. I dont think you can get a nicer car for the money.

By Paul - October 17 - 4:30 amI bought this car used five years ago, and I plan to drive it another five. Reliability has been wonderful, very few minor problems, struts and brakes. Love the handing, ride, and seats. I can drive this car for 11 hours straight and not feel fatigued. Ill recommend this car to anybody as a great used car to purchase.

Ridiculous value for such a luxurious car - 2005 Infiniti Q45
By sullivan86 - October 13 - 1:34 amI was looking for an every day car for myself after my previous car, a 2000 Dodge Neon finally died. The Neon was my first new car purchase and served me well through the years, but being 12 years older and more successful, I wanted to get something nice to drive that wasnt going to cost an arm and a leg. I searched Craigslist for about a month in the hopes of finding a deal and low and behold, I find this beauty. I honestly thought the $15k price listing was a type-o until I did some research and saw how much these cars depreciated in value. No matter. After viewing/driving the car I felt like I was getting away with robbery.

Infiniti I35 5-year review - 2002 Infiniti I35
By ZED - October 13 - 1:20 amI have been very satisfied with my 2002 I35 performance, overall quality, and dealer service (free oil/filter change-life of ownership). Had one problem regarding the driver power seat motor-it failed but was replaced under the 5yr-50K warranty. The warranty expired in 9/2006 (only 29K miles on it now). Took in for 30K mile service-approx $800...OK. But my sunroof was stuck open & service said I needed a new motor & some "rail", estimate $2100! Not happy about that-calling service manager as I found online a motor and complete frame for approx $1000.

Best Buy In Class - 2003 Infiniti I35
By OrlandoDave - October 7 - 2:00 amThis is a wonderful car for the price. Ive had it for a month and I can see why the I35 is the best seller in the Infiniti line. I have really grown to love htis car. Awesome sound system and the fit and finish is top shelf. I have the Sports package so the ride is very firm. The car goes exactly where you point it.

gotta drive this!! - 2003 Infiniti G35
By si - October 7 - 2:00 amwow - this car is seriously fun to drive. i traded in the four door after only four months - i think this car is way nicer to drive (although the four door is damn nice too). it drives and handles like a ture sports car. the seats hug you very comfortably, and the engine roars voraciously. peoples faces are fun to watch when i pull up next to them then speed off infront. took my girlfriend to the mini dealership next to bmw and boy were the sales men mad! all the customers at bmw went outside to look at my ride!!

Ive exhaled - 2003 Infiniti G35
By Goldie the Barber - October 7 - 2:00 amThis exceeds all expectations on how my dream car would drive. Its like it reads my mind and adds on feelings i never thought i would have attached to something without a soul. It feels like im in my own personal rocket. Ive recently test drove a 99 Lexus SC400 in which i thought would be the best choice but this car is more sportier and the quality of car and company is at least equal. My lease is up in april 03 on my 95 Range and i wanted a different feel and experience. Problems and sluggishness of my RR with an alluminum buick 4.0 engine are in my past now. I find self salivating not only while driving but when anticipate driving it aswell.oops there i go again :)
