Make Overview:

Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.

The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.

As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.

Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.

Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

  • Absolute Premium Vehicle - 2010 Infiniti QX56

Have had this vehicle for two weeks. Have been driving Escalades. This is a far superior vehicle in fit and finish, ride, quality electronics and stereo. The ride on the road is the best I have ever experienced. this truck is so good "on road" that I doubt it is what "off roaders" seek, but I love it.

  • Pretty Good SUV - 2002 Infiniti QX4

Have this SUV for a month now, everythings running great. A very smooth vehicle, live up to expectation, no complains. We chose the Infiniti over the Nissan after seeing the vehicle in person, we feel it is worth the extra money, the material and workmanship is much better than the pathfinder. Go for it.

  • After 3 years, I still love my Q - 2003 Infiniti Q45

Ive always wanted a real luxury car, and I finally got what I wanted. I had to wait until March of the following model year, but I bought it new. I have never had one issue with the car since we bought it 3 years ago, so I couldnt be happier. We intend to keep this car from 10 to 20 years, so we hope our good fortune continues.

  • Its elegant yet fun! - 2004 Infiniti G35

I recently bought a white G35 sedan. I like the ride. I have had the opportunity to drive high end cars (I used to have a Boxster, a CLK, a SLK, an M5 - what can I say... I like CARS!!) and this one is not to be ignored or looked down on. The people working in Infiniti Tustin made our purchase experience not as stressful. They are all professionals (I will especially mention Bill).

  • A consistent good deal... - 2002 Infiniti I35

This is my 3rd Infiniti "I" series car...which says... I really like this car. Its comfortable, stylish, and has many good features (such as the speakers, CD player, home security, etc.). I never worry about reliability, I never lift the hood and service is great (Saturday service and a loaner). This year I shopped particularly hard and long... looking at the comparables...and, still feel I got the best deal.

  • Finally, A tall(er) persons car. - 2003 Infiniti G35

I have driven the 3 and 5 series BMW, the IS, ES, and GS Lexus, and the C and E bodies from MB. The G35 is comfortable for 63" 230 lb person, and drives better than all of the above (except the 5 series, and that is a close call). A smoothly accelerating engine... just a pleasure overall.

  • My Second I - 2004 Infiniti I35

I just bought the 2004 I35. I bought a I30T in 1996, put 109,000 miles on it with no problems. Incredibly reliable car and the dealer service is awesome. I cant wait to pick up my new I35. Love the smooth power and comfort. I looked at the new Acura TL, nice car, but the interior is not nearly as elegant as the I35 and was $4,000 more.

  • new experience - 2004 Infiniti QX56

I was used to drive an X-5 (V-8, 4.4). The QX is a truck but is safe, has very nice interiors and is spaceous. Now if it only be a little more sporty (what I mean is horse power and acceleration) it would it be the best out there

This is a great car. It handles well and feels solid on the road.

  • Fun car, tough on gas - 2004 Infiniti G35

This awd car handles very well. Traded in an 2002 Acura tl-s, which was quicker and gave better fuel economy. However, after replacing the transmission, I lost confidence in the tl and dumped it. Very happy with the level of service with Infinitis dealership.. Much better than Acura.
