Overview & Reviews
Infiniti is an upscale automaker from Japan. Though most of its products are related to those sold by parent company Nissan, Infiniti looks to achieve a premium status by infusing its cars and SUVs with spirited performance and additional luxury content.
The brand was launched for the 1990 model year. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create premium vehicles for America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image. This was the same tactic Honda used for the creation of Acura, and Toyota for Lexus. In its first full year, Infiniti started out with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe and convertible. The compact, entry-level G20 was introduced soon after.
As the 1990s moved along, Infiniti slowly added more vehicles to its lineup. The Q45 luxury sport sedan found its market. The car's 278-horsepower V8 was class-leading in its day. On top of that, the Q45 offered cutting-edge technology such as an active suspension system. By the late '90s Infiniti had rolled out the QX4, an SUV based on the Pathfinder. The sport-ute's truck platform gave it a leg up in off-road performance relative to competing car-based SUVs.
Although Infiniti's sales grew steadily, the marque still fell short of both Lexus and Acura in terms of popularity. The early 2000s saw Infiniti making a determined effort to sharpen its focus and upgrade its products. But it was the introduction of the entry-level, midsize G35 in 2003 that finally gave Infiniti the boost and identity direction it sorely needed. Based on the same platform underpinning the Nissan 350Z, the G35 coupe and sedan met with immediate sales success. The FX35/FX45 soon followed -- a crossover SUV that provided spirited acceleration and sports-car handling with the utility of a wagon.
Today, Infiniti's lineup has expanded to include the G (now a sedan, coupe and convertible) and FX as well as the midsize M sedan, the EX small crossover SUV, the JX midsize crossover SUV and the QX large SUV. Infiniti has also introduced the M Hybrid sedan, its first hybrid vehicle. No matter the model, shoppers will find Infiniti's latest vehicles to be focused on luxury, sport, quality and value.

A Sports Sedan w/Everything - 2007 Infiniti G35
By irvsteroni - January 16 - 4:23 pmTraded my 04 G35 coupe and glad I made the choice. Faster and more luxurious, handles the twisties close to the same as my old coupe. Have the auto which works very well even with 5speed. Value is outstanding. Premium package is a must. Tech.screen and options/adjustments are fun to play with. This package, as a whole and at this price point, does not have any competition.

Born to Run - 2008 Infiniti G37
By L.A. - January 16 - 12:20 pmWeve wanted an Infiniti Coupe for two years, and were glad we waited for this one! Great power, great handling. Intelligent Key System and Push Button Start make life real easy. Got it in vibrant red with chrome wheels. Definitely get premium, navigation, and sport packages, theyre worth the money. Suggest you get it detailed immediately and then have certified installers put on 3M clear bra (protect your investment!).

Fast & Fun - 2004 Infiniti G35
By Bruce D. - January 14 - 3:53 pmFirst experience on the highway was incredible. 80 mph to pass a line of vehicles and it still want to go faster without ever breaking a sweat. Smooth acceleration and great handling. Love it.

Best of both Worlds! - 2007 Infiniti G35
By naz1124 - January 12 - 8:30 pmPush it and it drives like a superb handling muscle car. Cruise and it is smooth luxury!. Tried Lexus, BMW and Mercedes. If you get this car fully loaded with the Tech pkg and its the perfect blend of them all. I am beyond happy with this car. Gas mileage is a drawback but it has a long list of positive trade offs. Manual Clutch takes some getting used to but is extreme fun once you master it.

A Sleeper of an SUV - 2016 Infiniti QX50
By Lee - January 12 - 4:50 pmConsidered all the competition but came back to the 2016 Infiniti QX50. Wanted a strong V6 not a turbo 4 banger (Long Term Reliability!). Seems many are complaining about gas mileage. With just 2,500 miles I am able to get around 16 MPG in town and a solid 26.5 MPG on the highway. Achieved a high of 28.2 MPG on a recent trip. I am using lighter Mobil 1 5W-20 so this may help slightly in the mileage. Great vehicle and value. My regrets is lack of an auto lift gate on the rear also lack of Apple or Android Auto.

Still happy.... - 2008 Infiniti G35
By tennisgal - January 12 - 2:46 amI have LOVED driving this car for almost 1 full year. I was treated to many snows over the past winter and was very grateful for the AWD handling that this car offered. I continue to watch the competition and offerings and am still happy with my decision. Cant tell you enough how I do not miss the FWD "pull" from the steering in my 2004 TL!

An unexpected purchase - 2003 Infiniti M45
By DMZDAVE - January 11 - 2:00 amWent to the dealer to buy an FX45. Drove this just for comparison. The FX is still there, the M45 in our garage. Ive owned 2 Corvettes, a Roadrunner, GTO, a 442 Olds, a Trans Am and a Turbo Mazda. Only a couple were faster, but this car is unbelievable. Smooth, Quiet, comfortable, powerful all in one car. (It has surprised several Mustang GTs and an S2000 Honda owner on the freeway on-ramps.) What more could you ask for?

The right choice - 2003 Infiniti M45
By steve bxxxx - January 11 - 2:00 amVery pleased with my purchase. A dream to drive and nice not seeing one on every corning. Still a rarity on the streets. Well put together as you would expect an Infiniti to be. Traded in a 300M for better handling and got more than I could wish for in this size car.
